This is a very clean 1988 Carerra. This model year has the G50 5-speed transmission which was a major improvement over the transmission used in years prior. The mileage is on the high side but a major engine service was done by GD Racing in San Bruno CA in 2006 at a mileage of 155499. This was a $7537 overhaul and the engine runs beautifully. The shifting is smooth and the car handles just like you would expect a Posche to. Overall the appearance of the car is very good considering its age. The paint is smooth and glossy with no hazing that I can see. There are the typical paint chips, mostly up front as usual. The interior is also very clean. The dash has cracks in it as shown in the photos. The car comes with a fitted Porsche car cover which is really nice. This has been a fun car to own. We are getting ready to move and need to sell. Known issues Cruise control does not work.The high beam switch will not stay on low beam. I have a replacement switch I will include.The steering wheel has stitching that has worn thru.The parking brake interior lamp cover is missing.The window washer pump does not work. Have replacement pump which I will include.
