***Motor and transmission are not included in this auction*** Hello, I am selling my 72 Chevelle. As noted above, the motor and tranny are not part of the sale/auction. I will leave the entire ignition system (minus the MSD distributor) and the entire fuel system (minus the carburetor and nitrous solenoids). Everything below is included. The car did run at the track this season and there were absolutely no issues with the electrical or fuel system. I've owned this car for over 12 years, it started as a street car then a drag car. I do have a clear title for the car, but the original dash with VIN number has been removed. The firewall is partially moved back and re-worked with aluminum. It originally had a small block and I moved the motor way back. I later changed to a BBC and due to header issues, I had to move the motor back to its originally position. The frame is straight. The front suspension is stock (Moroso Trick Springs) and as for the rear suspension, I did box in the upper and lower control arms. With this new motor I had planned to install a rear anti-roll sway bar to keep the car straight when using the tranny brake, but I since changed plans. I ran this car with a small block for over eight years and had no suspension or traction issues. This motor is a different story, so if you plan on running something like this, I would recommend more work on the rear suspension. As far as the body, I never got around to painting the car. The car does have some bondo on the fenders, doors and rear section, but overall looks pretty decent. I also cut out the floor (tranny tunnel) and raised the tunnel with aluminum. Below the aluminum tunnel is a steel cage made of flat bar and steel mesh. The doors have been gutted and glass removed and replaced with Lexan. I did all the work myself. The car is practical and works, the wiring fuel system and ignition system are solid. I do not do this for living, but this is my passion and I take pride in what I do. It is not a show car, but I think overall it's a nice car. The welds on the cage are not that pretty, I was still learning, but nevetheless, they are solid and have been in place for 8 yrs. I do not have a hood for the car. The only thing this car will need is a motor and tranny to take out to the drags. I'm sure I have not listed everything, so please e-mail me if you have any questions or need more pictures. If you are serious about the car, I want you to know exactly what to expect. The radiator and the one-wire alternator will be included. The car has a 498 bbc with a 400 turbo with Hooker Supercomp Headers and Aero Chamber mufflers. I really do not want to sell the motor or tranny right now, might consider it later, looking at putting it in another car. The fuel system is about two years old as is most of the ignition system. Most of these parts were upgraded when I went with the bigger motor. And no, the rear end does not have c-clips, the Ford housing ends use a pressed on bearing. The rear end still remains the exact dimensions (lenght) as from factory. The rear end does have a steel brace welded on to it to help re-enforce the axle tubes. Thank you
