Vehicle Detail
I bought this truck from a dealer in late 2002 and it has been with me through some of the best and worst times of my life but it has never let me down. Since owning, it, I've finished college and have one wife, two kids, one dog, six residences (in NY, NJ and FL) and three jobs since then. But, with our family expanding, I have been urged by the lady of the house to find something with four or more seats (note that I am selling my Corvette and Harley also.) The truck is in great shape mechanically, but does have some rust along the rear wheelwells. The transmission was rebuilt and a new clutch was put in about 15,000 miles ago and the engine had a head job back in 2004. It has a slight exhaust leak, and I can see the one exhaust bolt that is loose, but I can't get to it. The oil has been changed religiously and I have always taken great pride with this truck. It has been to Daytona Bike Week twice and even has been down there when I lived in the Sunshine state. Nowadays, it barely gets used so that is why it is listed here. It has power windows, door locks, mirrors and ice cold AC. It also has a tow hitch and I've used this primarily to move motorcycle trailers and household yard waste. It is a great truck, but it's 17 years old so be aware that it has varius scratches and dings on it. Also, the speedometer started to cut in out the last few months when you hit a pothole. Overall, it's not perfect, but it's a darn good truck that is very presentable, stone reliable and has never left me stranded. Just come and drive it away. Sold as is, sale is final. On Sep-10-11 at 20:37:11 PDT, seller added the following information: Battery is a few months old (bought the best one.) Also, I put in a new ignition module as a precautionary maintenance measure. New brakes front and back including new drums in back. New parking brake cables also. I changed them because while the brakes were being replaced, I figured I'd change everything all at once. All work done by my brother, who is a certified ASE Master Technician, so it was all done right. Lucky for me, it only costed me some barbecue and a beer.On Sep-11-11 at 08:27:47 PDT, seller added the following information: There are four tie down anchors bolted in the bed and they are included. The bicycle rack and motorcycle wheel chock lying in the bed are not included. Also, I am keeping my tow ball. Everything else shown will go with the truck. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding. On Sep-12-11 at 14:06:26 PDT, seller added the following information: There is a scratch on the rear tailgate that isn't in the pictures. It's under the chrome tailgate trim. Also, there is a scratch on the left side along the bed that goes over the gas door. That one should be easier to see. To answer some questions- Yes, the four wheel drive system works and the front end has manual hubs. AC and heat both work perfectly. No leaks, drips or any problems. Muffler and exhaust are about three years old but have only 5,000 miles on it. Rear window is a sliding one, but the lock doesn't work. Radio is a Sony Xplod and the speakers were upgraded with Crutchfield parts (can't remmeber the brand, but they are quality ones like Clarion or Sony.)
