1983 Mercedes 300 D Turbo Diesel, good for biodiesel/SVO conversion. Wanted to do the conversion (my sister runs enviofuel.com, check them out!), but I just don't have time, so, I'm letting this go. This car is in overall good condition and has served me well for nearly 15,000 miles, but it does need some work. It's a California car from day one: no rust! Engine runs well; blue leather interior in very good condition; original Becker radio/tape cassette system; new battery. Paint is blue/gray. Power sun roof, bit sticky. On the down side: the vacuum pump needs replacing (or else a big leak, but I haven't found it), so the brakes are unassisted, third gear clunks when downshifting, and the engine must be shut off manually; it also takes a second or so to change to reverse, and reverse clicks sometimes. There is a dent in the driver side door; the door functions just fine, but the window tends to slip a bit. Small dent in right rear taillight assembly. Tachometer works part-time. Several hoses need to be replaced eventually. Rear passenger door lock needs work. Oh, and someone took the Mercedes symbol on the 4th of July. This car is ideal for someone who knows how and enjoys working on these vehicles. Or could be used as a parts car, the engine and many other parts are still young/viable.
