Rare 1962 Corvair Spyder Convertible 150 hp Turbocharged engine with 4-speed transmission 1962 was the first year a Corvair convetible was built and the first year for the Spyder option which included an upgraded suspension package, multi-gauge instrument panel with tachometer and a 150 hp turbocharged engine This is a highly prized first-generation Corvair - only 2,574 were manufactured in 1962 This car was purchased 10 years ago from the Marvin Enochs collection in Kansas City and shipped to California The car has been equipped with new brakes, shocks, and radial tires and is in excellent mechinical condition with all gauges and switches in working order. The original AC Delco radio has a fader switch for the optional real speakers and is in fine working order. The radial white wall tires are complemented by Corvair wire wheels. As you can see from the photos, the paint, top, and clear rear window are in good condition and the body is rust free. There is a matching red boot for driving with the top down The engine has been tuned and the turbo charger works flawlessly....this is a beautiful running machine The matching red interior is in good condition with a padded dash with no cracks or splits. Both the front driver and passenger seats have small seam splits, but the back seat is fine. The interior door panels do show some age as this car is 50 years old. The carpet is in good condition and complemented by Corvair floor mats.
