I'm offering this 1951 Studebaker Champion Coupe for auction with NO RESERVE!!! The high bidder will win the car for whatever the high bid ends up being. This is a true barn find, this car has been in the Atlanta area since new. I purchased it from the original owner's son in law with the intention of doing a full restoration. In the interest of preserving the car as it is, I painted the exterior of the car to prevent rust. What you're looking at here is a VERY original and very restorable car. It still retains the original radiator, flat head 6 cylinder and manual transmission. The carb and oil bath oil cleaner are missing. The rear glass is in EXCELLENT condition. All of the other windows, including the windshield, are glazed and cracked/broken. The seats are in good enough condition to be used with simply reupholstering the seats. Both doors are in pretty good shape with regard to rust, there is a little bit in the bottom of the passenger door, the driver door is a bit worse and the sill on that side has some damage from rust as well. The floors will need to be replaced, the trunk pan and spare tire well also need to be replaced. The trunk jam lip is solid until the bottom near the deck lid latch. The deck lid is great except for the lower rear portion near the latch. The trunk hinges work well which is usually a problem for these cars. Both front fenders are in great shape and the hood is pretty solid except for the front outside edges near the emblems. The frame of this car is very solid. The dash is complete and restorable. All the headliner bows are present. If you're looking for a solid project car that you won't see at every car show, this is the one for you! This would be an easy rat rod project or would be a great candidate for a full frame off restoration. Good luck!!! Any applicable taxes or shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
