Vehicle Detail

A mostly solid and original 75 year old project car with a nice grill, original gauges, aftermarket NOS running boards, and the start of an updated V8 automatic transmission drivetrain. It could be a nice low buget project for an ambitious person. The car was last driven on the road in Virginia in 1952. I've owned and stored it inside since 1978. It currently has a New York State registration in my name. I drove it around the yard years ago with the V8 drivetrain but found that the engine block was cracked. Needs an engine and brakes. The car was disassembled when I bought it and may be missing some parts I am not aware of. Ask me before bidding if there's something you don't see in the pictures. The engine block is a 350 chevy, transmission a TH350, and the rear end a 1969 nova. The rear suspension settles down nicely with some weight. The drivetrain was installed professionally with the only welding being at the front motor mounts. The front I beam axle, steering, and rear springs are original. The solid body is mostly in original paint. It has the expected bumps, surface rust, and cracks from 75 years of use and storage. There are a few areas, which are shown in the pictures, that will need metal patching. The right front fender being the worse. The left doors close nicely. The right doors need adjustment. Most of the original glass is there with the exception of the driver's door and driver's side windshield. The original floor was removed sometime through the years but the floor flange that it welds to is still there. Wheel wells are also solid with some light perferation toward the rear. All the window vallences are good except for the windshield which is rusted through at one corner. There is one complete new headlight and just the bucket for the other side. I think most of the interior wood is there and useable with the exception of some small pieces used for interior tack strips. The wood pieces at the back of the rear doors were at some point replaced with pine. They should redone in hardwood. Originals of these pieces are there for patterns. The seats are original and are barely covered in what's left of the original upholstery. I also have an original 206 ci, 6 cylinder engine, 3 speed transmission, rear end, center crossmember, and two more original wheels (one good / one rusted thin). All of unknown condition. I will include them for the "Buy It Now" price. The car is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early. Please ask any questions before bidding. If you'd like to see the car, contact me. If your feedback is less than 5, email me before bidding. All shipping costs and arrangements are the responsibility of the winning bidder. USA and Canada sales only. A $300.00 deposit is due by pay pal at the end of the auction with the balance due by cash or certified bank check within 4 days. Enjoy bidding and bid to own.
