Vehicle Detail
Here we have a genuine desert survivor. If you are looking for a unique resto mod that is solid, complete and you can drive it while you work on it - All the while looking absolutely Mad Max tough. This is it!. 1971 Ford Ranchero with only 51,500 miles on it. 302 2v 210hp c4 Automatic Transmission with trans cooler. 2.79 Traction Lock Differential. Very nice interior. Very Solid and Straight Body. Nice Glass as well. Super restoration Candidate. Featuring the 302 2v 210 H.P V-8, c-4 3 speed Automatic transmission with add on oil cooler, power disk brakes, power steering, air conditioning, vinyl interior, A.m radio 51,500 Miles. Body/paint: Very solid body very little in the way of rust and in overall good condition. It has some surface rust and the paint is faded. The doors do not sag and they shut very nicely. The glass is really nice, no issues, windows roll up and down as intended. Underbody: Super solid, no issues a very solid truck. Interior: Top to bottom, the headliner is GOOD , no tears and is not sagging at all, very nice. The seat is very good, the bottoms are holding nicely, the springs aren't sagging. There are tears starting at the back corners of them, the vinyl is still supple with no checking. The Dashpad has one crack to the right of the gauge cluster. The spare tire cover is in excellent shape, a good spare tire and the jack are present. The rear cab liner is decent. Mechanical: Motor Starts right up , NO: Knocking before "oiling up", NO smoke AT ALL, runs out really strong, a fun truck to drive!. The motor is original down to the heat riser tube that run's off the passengers side exhaust manifold to the air filter housing. Thats the first thing that usually hits the trash heap. I just love the 70,71 302 always a great runner!. Transmission: works absolutely perfect, has an add on oil cooler. Differential: Works perfect 2.79 to 1 Traction lock, fun stuff!. Brakes: Work great no issues. Steering: One of the nicest driving 70,71's I have ever run into and I have seen more than a few. Accessories: The A.c needs to be charged, it is all there and the pump and clutch work!. The heat works super, great D-town Ford heat!. The hazard lamps, side markers and horn do not work. The blinkers, headlights, dash lights, brake lamps, running lamps (four corners), lighter, radio and wipers and A.M radio Do work. The tires are in excellent condition. This car is very complete. If you are looking for an easy restoration or just looking for a cool multipurpose RELIABLE classic that is a blast to drive and turns heads: You found it.
