This auction is for a 1996 Ford Taurus LX 4 door sedan. The car is metallic red with tan cloth interior. It has 118000 miles on it. It is equipped with power windows, power locks, power steering, power brakes, automatic headlights, AM/FM 10 CD changer, after market alarm system, keyless entry. I am the second owner of his car, and have had it for about 2 1/2 years. The car has a new alternator, battery, tires, new ball joints and tie rod ends. Recently the overdrive light and check engine light came on, I took it to my mechanic, he said there is something wrong in the transmission that is preventing the car to downshift when you go into passing gear, other than that there is nothing wrong with the car. We have been driving it like this for a few weeks and other than not going into passing gear it seems ok to drive locally. The car can be driven like this to be used for a station car, or you can look into getting it repaired correctly. I don't want to have it repaired, I decided to get a 4 wheel drive SUV for the bad winter months ahead. The car has never been in any types of accidents, the paint seems all original, the drivers rear door has a few dings in it and the trunk lid has one also, it is a nice looking, clean car.
