Vehicle Detail

Not a dealership. Private seller - that means no fees!We are selling our 2009 BMW 128i. Here is some basic information about the car... Make: BMW Model: 128i Year: 2009 Color: Le Mans Blue Metallic Transmission: STEPTRONIC Automatic Mileage: 22,700 Title: Clear, One Owner VIN (For CarFax): WBAUP93589VF49261 We (my wife and I) have decided to sell because of our growing family. With a small baby, the time has come to give up our treasured 2-door German sports coupe in favor of a family car. It pains both of us - especially me - to let this car go, but realistically, we have no other choice. We originally bought the car from Rusnak BMW in March 2010 (see the dealer photo in the picture set below). It was a showroom piece at the Rusnak dealership for a few weeks, but was never test-driven by anyone. We picked it up with 5 miles on the clock. We have owned this car for 17 months, during which time we have done about 22,700 miles of almost entirely freeway driving. Living in Palmdale and driving to the San Fernando Valley a lot, these were all easy miles. All scheduled vehicle maintenance has thus far been performed on schedule and has been carried out by Rusnak BMW and Valencia BMW. I have a link to a free CARFAX report confirmed the service records. Please contact me for the link if needed. Now, as for the features... this particular 128 is FULLY LOADED. We got almost every feature available on this model line, with the exception of heated seats, nav, and the backup sensors. Below is a list of all the added features. The window sticker is also shown in the pictures... Le Mans Blue Metallic Paint Black Boston Leather M Sport Package -- 17" Premium "M" Wheels / Performance Tires -- Gray Poplar Wood Trim -- Sport Seats -- Sport Steering Wheel + Paddle Shifters -- Sport Suspension -- Aerodynamic "M" Body Kit -- Shadowline Exterior Trim -- Anthracite Headliner Premium Package -- Universal Garage Door Opener -- Digital Compass Mirror -- Auto-Dimming Side Mirrors -- Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror -- Power Front Seats -- Seat Lumbar Support -- BMW Assist + Bluetooth STEPTRONIC Automatic Transmission Moon Roof Rain Sensor Automatic Headlights Xenon Headlights Adaptive Light Control Automatic Climate Control Cruise Control iPod and USB Functionality Smartphone Integration This represents the ideal situation for a buyer looking to get into an almost new BMW 1-series without the high cost. This car looks new in every way, and has been extremely well taken care of. The original MSRP of the vehicle was $40,300 (see window sticker). We also obviously paid taxes and dealer fees on top of the sale price. Now, this car can be yours without having to pay any fees or dealer markup. I cannot offer any kind of financing, so this is a straight cash deal. If you have the funds available, this is a heck of a deal. I am also not looking to profit. This 128i comes with BMW's Ultimate Service package, which means you get 4 years/50,000 miles of maintenance, 4 years/50,000 mile warranty, 12-year rust warranty, and 4 years (unlimited miles) of BMW Roadside Assistance. Simply put, you're getting at least an additional two and a half years of warranty coverage and maintenance as part of this deal. The maintenance means you get free oil changes, free brake pads, free air filters, free inspection, and pretty much everything on this car is covered except the tires. The good news is, I also put down $1500 at the dealership for the Tire Protection Program, which insures all the tires on the vehicle against damage for 5 years. I am not completely sure if the tire protection is transferable to a new owner, but two of the vehicle's tires have already been replaced within the last two months under the program. The two original tires are in a state of 80% tread remaining, and the two new tires are still close to 100% tread-life. All of the tires on the car are runflats - you get a puncture, you get to keep on driving for another 50+ miles. However, you are entitled to replace the runflats with regular tires in the future when the time eventually comes. This car really is in superb condition and was treated like part of the family. I should add that we are a smoke-free family, and this car has never had any smokers inside or any food inside. Once again, it's a really hard decision to get rid of the car. It will be sorely missed. This is by far the best car I have owned, and this is my 7th vehicle to date. Nothing else compares to the 1-series. The car feels solid and sturdy, it feels glued to the road at all times, and it has a lot of pep. It has all the power you could need, but it still manages decent fuel economy on the freeway. Another thing to note... This car is unique! I have only seen one other BMW 1-series in my area, and it was a different color. Even when I visit the BMW dealership for service, they don't have any other 1's like this. The metallic blue color is rare in itself; the coupe body style makes it rarer still; and having the M package (M-style bumper, fog lights, M wheels) makes this a real one-of-a-kind! This car turns a lot of heads and gets a lot of compliments. If that appeals to you, this car is definitely an attention-getter. The iPod, USB, and Bluetooth integration are nice features to have in this day and age, especially the Bluetooth calling feature. BMW Assist is also nice - it's similar to OnStar. If you have an accident, someone will try to communicate with you and dispatch emergency services. It can also be used to remotely unlock the doors and such, and allows the car to be tracked if it gets stolen. I am also told that you can hit the BMW Assist button if you need directions or want to find a local restaurant or something, although I never tried. The adaptive Xenon headlights are awesome. They turn on automatically at night, and boy do they light up the road. The "adaptive" part refers to the fact that the headlights pivot when you rotate the steering wheel, so the light actually turns to light up corners as you enter. This is great for canyons and unlit roads at night. The "M" Sport package adds the famous "M" logo in various places throughout the vehicle, including the steering wheel, each of the sport wheels, and on the door step apliques. It also adds an M-style bodykit, giving the vehicle a more aggressive look, and a tougher sport suspension, making the car feel that much more solid and like it's on rails. I have included a snapshot of the Kelley Blue Book value for the car with the current mileage and all the above features. The "Excellent" condition KBB value came out to $27,700, and the "Good" condition came out to $26,200. The "Excellent" criteria is defined as looking like new, being free from blemishes, having a clean title, and a complete service record - this 128i satisfies all of these criteria. I still have all of the original documentation that came with the vehicle - about 8 different books, including the owner's manual, BMW road atlas, service guide, and more. I also have the original leather case for the documents, and a nice artist's rendering of the 1-series which BMW was kind enough to provide me with. I also have both sets of keys. We are located in Palmdale, California. We are happy to deal locally or with someone from out of state. I cannot provide shipping for the vehicle, so the buyer will either be responsible for arranging shipping, or flying/traveling out here to pick up the vehicle personally. Palmdale is a little over an hour away from LAX, out in the desert - not an ideal location, but I work at the Air Force facility here and don't have much choice. Thanks for looking! On Aug-30-11 at 16:48:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Update 8/30/2011: The mileage is currently 22,900, not 22,700 as listed. This is due to driving the car to work the last few days. On Aug-30-11 at 16:50:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Also please note, this is a LOW RESERVE auction. The reserve is set lower than the actual value of the car (KBB). Happy bidding! On Aug-31-11 at 21:38:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Warranty Reminder: Although this is a 2009, it was purchased new in 2010. That means an extra year of free maintenance and warranty! The BMW 4-year full warranty and BMW 4-year free maintenance on this car is good through March 2014. No money out of pocket for maintenance or repairs for almost the next 3 years! On Sep-04-11 at 10:40:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Reserve price lowered again 9/4/11. Must sell!
