This vehicle is a survivor! It has old Grateful Dead and hippie stickers on it. Bought as a project, but need money to pay for student loans! Vehicle has recently had a new muffler, tailpipe, and battery installed, mechanic informed me that the underbody is solid and vehicle is structurally sound. This is the fuel injected model, so it starts up a lot easier than the carbureted models, the previous owner installed a push button start on the van, put the key in the ignition, turn it, push the button, and it starts every time! The engine is in good condition, as is the transmission (a 4 speed manual), which also shifts into all gears fine. The brakes are not perfect, but they are in working condition. This is a great base for a project. There is no rust on the top of the bus or in the channels. It has original hubcaps, which are beautiful when polished up, however someone tried to steal one, and there is dents in one of them. The glass is all original and the headliner is in good condition. There is surface rust on the vehicle and a spot that has rusted through on the back of the van next to the bumper (see picture below). There is a ding on the right rear top of the car near the air intake (picture below), there is also a dent under the windshield on the passenger side (picture below). The fuel gauge is inoperative, and so is the odometer. The glovebox will need to be replaced and there is no radio.The underside of the dash will need to be put together to look nice, but it is all there. The previous owner of the van cut out a part of the floor on the back to facilitate access to the engine and fuel tank, it does not affect the drivability or add any noises (see picture below). 2 Van repair manuals will also be included with the van.
