THE BMW ENGINEERS OUTDID THEMSELVES CONSTRUCTING THIS FINE AUTO. UNFORTUNATELY ALL GERMAN AUTOS NEED A GOOD DEAL OF MAINTENANCE AROUND 85-100K MILES. I OPTED TO ADDRESS ALL OF THE ONES PERTAINING TO THIS VEHICLE. HOWEVER THIS KIND OF EXTENSIVE MAINTENANCE IS RARELY SEEN, PARTICULARLY ALL AT ONCE. I JUST CHOSE TO DO THEM ALL RIGHT UP FRONT AND AVOID THE EMBARASSMENT OF A BREAKDOWN ON A BUSINESS DAY. HECK, I'D PROBABLY DO IT ANYWAY AS I AM AN ADMITTED CAR NUT AS MY MECHANIC WILL TELL YOU. (I CAN PUT YOU IN TOUCH WITH HIM AS HE HAS VOLUNTEERED TO VOUCH FOR THE CAR). AND I CAN TELL YOU THERE IS NO COMPARISON TO A WELL TUNED BMW!! ONLY SELLING TO MAKE ROOM FOR MY NEW TRUCK (FOR WHICH I ALREADY HAVE 5K WORTH OF GOODIES WAITING TO BE INSTALLED AND I HAVEN'T HAD IT A WEEK). Car runs strong, pulls hard, corners on a dime (and then some due to electronic stability control). Never been tracked or wrecked, never been overheated, oil changes every 7k (mobil 1 synthetic), ice cold a/c Blemishes are minor, roof has a few dings, a paint chip and oxidation. There is a good chance that a good detail would even it out- I only brought the car for washes- never bothering with full details as the car shows REALLY well and I got compliments all the time. The hood and roof dings are from hail - which caught me less than a minute from a garage. The car got lucky and the pictures reflect that fact. A young man backed into the front bumper in a small parking lot causing the blemish you see in the photo. The car was in neutral at the time and it rolled thus creating more of a scuff than anything. Both the hail incident and parking lot incident were reported (he had no identification with him I felt bad but had no choice). There are two dings from a bike rack on lower section of the panel below the trunk. Negligable really, but as an honest seller intimately familiar with the car- I disclose ALL!! So in all very few dings, but I can only show what is visible in photos- what little is there is so negligible that they just don't show unless you get up real close at a very obtuse angle (basically normal very minor surface imperfections on the car). The rear seat bottom is marred under the center armrest area- otherwise interior is in fantastic shape. There are some dead pixels on the OBC (on board computer) display. It's better on cold days where they all work, and do not all work on hot days. It's fixable, just didn't concern me. I may be reached at 516 996 3388 (7 days 10am-Midnight EST) Please only call if you are sincerely interested and *capable* of buying this car. I will help you all that I can in making sure you are fully informed in your purchase decision. I know several mechanics in the area- if you wish a PPI, I will take it to one of them at my earliest convenience. Best of luck to you all in your bidding and happy motoring! -Doug P.S. I will be adding pictures (documents, receipts, treadlife, brake pads, etc) when I get back into town. What you see in the ad I took real quick before leaving. If I missed anything or if there is something specific you would like to see, please ebay message me your request and I'll do my best to accomodate you. P.P.S. You MUST have a Paypal account to bid on the car...(I selected that option when setting up the ad) this is per ebay suggestion to deter non-paying bidders or scammers who only get in on a whim and an ebay username.. Thank you!! On Sep-12-11 at 10:57:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Added some more pictures, and will add one final pic tonight of the receipts. Forgot to mention I had the power steering fluid reservoir replaced (new) when I first got the car as the old one seeped oil which made for an unsightly engine bay. The steering fluid was also replaced at this time. I also forgot to mention that the car was garage kept by the original owner - an older German gentleman from Westchester NY which you will see on the copy of the old title which also shows no liens... just as the one that is current on the car is free and clear of encumbrances that will be signed over to you. On Sep-13-11 at 09:41:45 PDT, seller added the following information: You can now see a pic of the receipts from work done as well as the original window sticker (upper left hand corner of pic). I could only post 24 pictures (ebay limit). Please email or call me if you would like close ups of the higher ticket repairs (clutch, struts, tires, rims, brakes/rotors, control arms, CCV, etc). Also: have 3 keys for vehicle including valet plus the original leather bound owners manual, and glove box mounted factory rechargeable flashlight. Good luck!
