Land Rover 110 Defender P/U 1985 with 300 TDI and Auto Transmission This is a very nice solid Land Rover 110 Defender pickup truck that I have mechanically restored. I've not done all the exterior cosmetics on it yet but have put a considerable amount of money in the drive train and engine. If you know anything about 300TDI conversions, you know this is not cheap. This truck came right off the farm in the UK and I have a clear Missouri title and inspection as well as the original UK title. The truck was originally a naturally aspirated diesel with an LT77 transmission. I put in a rebuilt 300 TDI with all new components mated to a Land Rover automatic transmission and correct transfer case. This is right hand drive. All the work so far has been top notch on it. I am taking on new responsibilities and just do not have the time to finish out this project. The truck starts and runs great, always starts first time. The diesel engine really purrs and gets over 30mpg. The truck, while not a racecar, will go 70 mph and performs well on the road. It is full time 4x4.Mileage noted is on the drivetrain. Work/parts completed so far: -installed 300TDI motor and all components with transfer case and ZF auto transmission. -installed new Old Man EMU gas shocks and steering damper -new brake pads -new Exmoor trim bucket seats -new Tuffy center console steel locking box with radio mount enclosed. Already wired for radio. -New grill and headlight pans installed -New signal lenses all around. -New bushings for front end. -New Land Rover lampguards. -Hose heater installed for easy winter starts. -New Battery In addition, I have a nice heavy duty bumper and grill guard for it. , new surrounds for the steering column and all new decals for the truck. I also have a shop/restoration manual as well as the factory manual for the 300TDI engine(expensive!) Note: This is a 1985 model, Ebay will not accept the British VIN number so it lists as a 1980. The truck needs cosmetics. There is some rust in the corner of the bulkheads in the typical place just under the corner of the windshields. I do have the replacement parts for this, just weld in prior to priming and painting. There are a few holes in the bed, otherwise the truck is pretty solid as far as rust.
