Vehicle Detail
The 1976 Pontiac Firebird, second to no other. Being relisted due to buyer remorse. I must be honest and say that I bought this car because it was and is my dream car. Now, when dream cars become reality, sometimes reality catches up. Reality is I leave in two weeks and cannot bring the car with me. Here is the information on the car: 1976 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, 6.6L V8 Engine, Pontiac Three Speed Automatic, about 13 miles to the gallon, a million smiles per mile. I am the second owner of the car, purchased from the original owner who took good care of the car. Currently on the car are -Mild Street Cam -Moroso Valve Covers -MR Gasket Performance Electronic Ignition -MOPAR Quadrajet Carburetor -Aluminum Edelbrock Intake Manifold -Air Hog Performance Air Filter -Full Headers and Exhaust System with Magnaflow Stainless Steel Mufflers (Not too loud, but loud enough). -Aftermarket Vintage Wheels, not Honeycombs, I believe are Keystone Klassics? with 15s on all fours however, the rear tires are wider to give it an aggressive look. -AIWA CD Stereo with Rear Speakers, can read CDRW and mp3 cds. -Oversized alternator which produces 17amps. That is basically how I bought it, now for the goodies I have done to it or put in very recently -New Sears Brand Battery -New NAPA NEW Water Pump -New Brake Booster -New Brake Pads and Shoes all around -New Starter -New Shocks all around -Brake Fluid Flush along with speed bleeders up front and new bleeding screws on back. -New Spark Plugs (Bosch) and Spark Plug Wires (Champion) -New Rotor and Distributor Cap -New Electric Radiator Fan -New thermostat -New parking brake cables and assembly -Radiator Coolant Flush. -Front end bushings greased with high quality high temperature grease. I have also done some underbody work, painting the bottom with 3M undercoating which not only protects against rust but also quiets road noise. I have also gone through the interior and have applied DYNAMAT EXTREME Quieting Material to quiet the inside of the car and give it a more luxurious feel to it. I have done a professional detailing job on the inside of the car, cleaning out carpets, windows, and detailing as best as I can. The car does not have AC as it was removed by the previous owner who thought of the performance aspect of getting rid of the AC. The car does have heat and blows nice and warm. I have not had the car for very long but I have done extensive work on it as you can see. I always wanted to own this car and now that I do I must let it go. The car is not perfect but is rare and gets looks wherever it goes. The driver's seat is torn and will need repairing soon, the kit to repair it is about $200 and available at many retailers. It still can be driven as is. The car's bumpers have started to flake their paint, so they will need to be repainted, I have someone who quoted me $250 to do them both. This car needs to be driven and appreciated, and most likely be someone's dream car or start of someone's dream car. It does need some TLC but can be driven and enjoyed as it is. Feel free to email me and ask me for more pictures of the car. The best way to get in touch with me is through ebay messages on this ad and I'll get back to you, you can also call me or text me at Six F ive one 239 4747 if you are not able to reach me, please leave a voicemail. I do respond to text messages very quickly. Thanks for looking and I hope this is your dream car. I am leaving in two weeks time from the posting of this ad and therefore don't have much time to deal with buyer remorse or people that are just bidding to play games with me. I know how special this car is and how much fun it is and if I could I would bring it with me, so please don't waste my time. I expect the buyer to end the transaction within five days of closing of the auction as I do have to leave. I will help buyers who need to ship the car as best I can and can/will drive the car up to 200 miles for a small fee. On Sep-07-11 at 11:36:57 PDT, seller added the following information:
