1986 Chevrolet K30 M1008 ex-military truck This truck is equipped with all the standard military M1008 isssue stuff....6.2L Detroit Diesel...THM400 3-speed automatic...NP-208 transfer...Dana 60 front...Dana 80 14 bolt rear with Detroit locker...4.56:1 axle ratios. 77K miles are original New 10 ply tires load range E 235/85/16 Still has the military rifle racks, black-out lights, placard, and #'s. Dash top pad has sun cracks...and the hood has a 1-inch crack in the center seam (see pic)...these are really the only demerits to this truck...the body is very straight...no rust...runs and drives fine...everything works properly...will be hard pressed to find one of these unrestored trucks in better condition. Original military camo paint The spare tire hanger assembly is still all there BUT I do not have a spare tire or jack/tools for it I added an am/fm/cassette radio with appropriate gm center speaker under dash pad...I still have the radio delete plate that can be reinstalled for original setup. The toolbox goes with the truck...I do need to keep the reciever hitch that is currently bolted to the rear bumper...no modifications were made to mount it. I've been wanting one of these trucks for some time, and was happy to finally find one in this good of shape. However, for me to keep it, I need to use it as my work truck and its just not really what I want to have to drive for day to day work. I've had it about 2 months...and still have the clear open GA title from the previous owner, which I think is the first title issued since it came out of GA National Gaurd service in 2010.
