This is a great little car and tons of fun! I'm selling it because it needs a little work and I just don't have the time or space to put in to it. I drove this daily up until last spring when I moved and no longer had a garage to work on the things it needed. 172,xxx on the odometer however due to the age of the vehicle it states exempt on the title. It's been sitting for about a year and is in desperate need of a bath! The only rust are little spots under the doors at the wheel wells. Maybe half-dollar size. The brakes will need attention before driving, likely just need bled and calipers adjusted due to sitting. The battery may be ok with a trickle charge but I would think it's time for a new one. The last time I drove it the brake lights were very dim. I think it was due to water getting into lens covers? Likely be resolved with new bulbs and cleaning the contacts? The canvas top is in good condition but will need some lubricant at the hinges. It works fine but is just a little tight from lack of use. As with most Rabbits of this era the top will leak around corner seals where it meets the windshield. There are several DIY fixes for this on the internet. Its not a problem with the top itself, just the seal. J-Hooks are fine. There is no interior carpet. and the seats have some rips under the covers I have on. Motor runs very good! 5 Spd manual, not perfect but shifts pretty good with 3rd gear being a little grouchy at times. Will make a very nice driver once the above issues are resolved! This car will need to be trailered due to the brake issue. I also have this listed locally but I will contact any bidders prior to ending the auction.
