Vehicle Detail
For auction is a 1976 MGB convertible. It is a manual, 4-speed, with a 1.8L 4-cyl. engine. Runs beautifully. New components Complete professional engine rebuild in 2003 ($5,300). Rebuild done by Taos Garage in Albuquerque, NM. The engine runs beautifully! New Clutch New electronic ignition system New convertible top (less than 100 miles ago) New suspension including urethane bushings and front sway bar New radiator New dash board New exhaust Electrical systems work perfectly I have all receipts for parts and labor on the car since 1988. Detailed description Great car, extremely reliable with a new engine rebuild 2003, and rides great with new suspension. Shifts perfectly. To the best of my knowledge, mechanically everything runs perfectly. A blast to drive! The paint is original. You can see from the pictures there are a few minor blemishes, but overall the paint is in very good condition. The interior is very nice. Seats were recovered a few years ago. There is one dime sized hole in the driver’s seat back. The dash is new. There is one tear in the driver’s side door near the window crank. The car has spent most of its life in an arid/desert climate. There is a little surface rust on the bottom of the trunk pan, but other than that the car is rust free. I have a couple extra boxes of miscellaneous parts that will be included with the car. I’ve been on the fence as to whether or not I should sell this car because it runs great and doesn’t need any work. I really enjoy driving it, and am going to miss it. I’m selling it because my wife didn’t really enjoy it. This is a no reserve auction. Buyer to pay a $500 deposit within 48 hours of the end of auction. The remainder of the purchase price is to be paid via. check or money order within seven days. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer to set up. Buyers are welcome to pick the car up. The car should have no problem driving cross country. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
