This Malibu has been family-owned for 16 years. My ex bought it back in 1995 from a muscle car dealer in Watertown, MN with 37k miles. She sold it to my daughter in 2007. It's been driven sparingly and stored on my farm since. She recently bought a house and could use the cash for home improvements, so here it is on eBay. It was sold new at Harold Chevrolet in Bloomington, MN to a lady from Mpls on May 16, 1967. We have the broadcast sheet and protecto-plate to verify numbers. The title is clear and in my daughter's name. It has a 283 V8 with a Powerglide transmission and 3.36 open rear axle. It has power steering and power drum brakes. The brakes were completely rebuilt last year and work fantastic. The radiator was replaced around 1996 as were the belts, hoses, plug wires, etc. which were the originals. It has dual exhaust with Smithy mufflers. The rims are 14x6 rallys, and tires have 70% tread left. The car has had one enamel repaint, I would guess in the 80's. It's starting to show its age with some crazing but there is ZERO rust-thru anywhere on this car. It has the usual stuff on the frame from storage, but ZERO floor or trunk pan issues. There are, however, some bumps under the vinyl roof near the windshield. The interior is 100% original and in near perfect condition. The dash is clean and bright. The dash pad is very nice, as is the steering wheel. The carpet is worn some, but still good. The AM radio does not work. The trim and bumpers are pretty decent as is the grille. The side glass is excellent with no scratches. It still has the original Soft-Ray tinted windshield. The four original wheel covers are nice and in the trunk. The spare has never been out. A previous owner put dryer sheets under the seats and in the trunk to ward off rodents during storage. It worked - no evidence of critters, but now it smells like Bounce. (Way better than moth balls!) This car starts and runs flawlessly. It was recently on the 2008 Hot Rod Power Tour from Rochester, MN to Madison, WI. It ran perfect - delivering 23 mpg with no issues. You can fly in and drive this car home with no worries. I live 50 minutes from the Rochester Intl Airport and 15 minutes from I-35 or I-90 in Southern MN. I welcome inspections anytime. This is not a show car but an excellent driver that is very clean for being 44 years old. There is a very fair reserve on this car, as my daughter would really like to sell it.
