Vehicle Detail
1984 Pontiac Indy Fiero Configuration: 2 Door mid-engined coupe Engine: Fuel injected OHV Inline 4 Cylinder Displacement: 2474 cc | 151.0 cu in. | 2.5 Liters Horsepower: 92 BHP @ 4000 RPM Torque: 132 Ft-Lbs @ 2800 RPM Transmission: 4 Speed Manual Weight: 2460 Lbs Up for auction today is a low mileage 1984 Pontiac Fiero Limited Edition Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Replica. This car has only 39,039 actual miles on it. It also has the more desirable and less produced 4 speed manual transmission (500 or so of the 2000 made). This car has been my father's pride and joy for the last 10 years and has won multiple awards at local car shows for its rarity, authenticity and condition. In preparation for the sale of this car I had the local Pontiac dealer (well technically it is now a GMC/Buick dealer after Pontiac closed up shop but they have always serviced and still continue to service Pontiacs) go through the car and verify that it is mechanically sound. The car fires up on the first turn of the key and runs and drives just like it should. Here is a list of what has been done on the car recently. New windshield (I have a new PONTIAC windshield sticker but will leave it up to the new owner to decide if he or she wants to install it or not) New radiator (along with a radiator cap, upper and lower radiator hoses) New front shocks and rear struts (car was aligned afterwards as well) New steering stabilizer shock (old one worked but had a dent in it) New driver side half shaft (the first shaft they tried to put on was the wrong one and it messed up the seal causing a drip, I bought a new seal and it will be included) New spark plugs and wires New air filter Rebuilt passenger side headlight motor (with Fiero Store aluminum gears vs. stock nylon) Also the following fluids were flushed and replaced Engine oil (and filter) Coolant (50/50 mix) Brake fluid Clutch fluid Transaxle fluid Also the tires were replaced last year and have less than 1k miles on them. All in all there was nearly 2k worth of work done to the car recently (have receipts) and I knew going in that I would not be recuperating all of that cash during the sale. But what it does give me is the comfort of knowing that I did everything I could do to make the car ready to drive anywhere and try to prevent any of those hidden costs for the new owner that can sometimes come with purchasing a used car. The car still wears its original paint and has the normal chips and scratches on it commensurate with its age. The interior is in excellent condition and the only real flaws are some wear on the driver's side seat bolster (pictured), scrapes in the driver's side door arm rest (again pictured) and a slight warp to the center console (very common). I also am posting a picture of the car with the old windshield on it to see what it looks like with the PONTIAC decal applied to it (again this is included). I also have all of the original parts for the car (Goodyear tires, distributor cap, red spark plug wires, shocks and struts etc...) if you wanted them for originality or I can just throw them out. Your call. Payment types accepted are bank issued cashier's check, money order or cash if you will be picking the car up in person. If you are not picking it up in person all shipping costs will be handled by the purchaser of the vehicle. I have the car listed for sale locally and will cancel the auction if it sells outside of ebay. I have done my best to honestly represent this car but please keep in mind that this is a used car and I offer no warranty or refunds on the car. If you have any questions just ask. If you would like any additional pictures, just let me know and I will take them. Good luck and happy bidding.
