1999 Honda Honda XR650 L

Ultimate Dualsport / Adventure Honda XR650L I wanted a great dualsport bike that could take me anywhere I wanted, and I chose a Honda Xr650L since they are so great off road, and they last forever with good care. I wanted to update the styling since Honda has not made any updates to the model since 1993. So,I replaced the fenders with OEM Honda CR450F motocrosser fenders, and replaced the huge tailight/brakelight assembly with an OEM KTM unit. Then I started working on the overweight issue and removed the smog pump and replaced some heavy stock parts with high end lightweight aftermarket parts....see list below. I have also rejetted the carb using Daves' mods and Dynojet jetting specs. The motor and suspension are completely stock and have never been apart. It always starts and runs perfectly and gets about 45 miles per gallon on the road. Tires are Almost new Pirelli Tires. This bike has the best of everything, and it won't disappoint. Of over 250 XR650L's showcased on 4strokes.com, it is the only one to be rated 10 out of 10, and not just once, but again several months later. Right down to the Honda CRF motorcrosser fenders and the KTM taillight assembly, this is one very special bike.
