2001 Subaru Legacy Outback AWD 5-speed This Subaru has been one amazing vehicle for us. The mileage is high, however, a brand new engine was put in direct from the Minooka Subaru (PA) dealer when it was at 228000 miles, so this "new" engine only has about 40000 on it. A new clutch was put in as well. As far as a great, dependable daily driver goes, this car has been fantastic. Also, new tires, inspected, just had all fluids changed (transmission fluid, rear differential, cooling system flushed, power steering fluid, brake fluid, etc.). I'd feel totally confident taking this car from coast to coast without a problem. All regular services done, oil changed religiously every 3000 miles, and just about all the miles on the vehicle, overall, have been highway miles. Just got back from a trip down and back to Florida, and then out and back to Minnesota, and the car ran beautifully as usual. Engine runs excellent. Transmission is excellent. Gets about 28 - 30 miles per gallon on the highway. Please look at the pictures. Although the body is in overall very good shape, there are two spots I want to mention. On the driver's side rear render is a small metal patch, and on the passenger side rear render is some paint bubbling with rust under. Easy fixes. Interior is in excellent shape. No rips, no tears, no cracks, seats excellent, etc. AC blows ice cold, all accessories are power, and all functional.
