Wow where do I start? It is time for my baby to go, I do not have time to ride enough to do this bike justice, so I have decided to sell it. This 2008 BMW R1200GSA is a one owner purchased new at BMW of Omaha. The GS came equipped with the Enduro low first gear, ABS,ASC, and ESA (which is great by the way). The bike currently has 11,732 miles on it. I will continue to ride it until it sells so it may have a few more. It has been meticulously taken care of. Oil has been changed every 3,000 miles with a new BMW filter. The first check up was done by the dealer in Omaha the second and third by myself, you will notice the pesky service light is on because I refuse to pay the dealer $100 to turn it off. This is probably my only BMW complaint, I hate that light! I was in the motorcycle business for over 10 years and always prided myself on my mechanical work. I have set the valves and balanced the carbs, and performed all the other service work according to the BMW mileage chart. Now for all the goodies or farkles as the BMW guys say. I have well over $30,000 invested in this bike and someone is going to get a deal! Here we go: Full Remus Exhaust system… Heated Russell Daylong Leather Seat. Custom made for rider & passenger; 6’ 225lb rider and 130lb passenger… Garmin 376C GPS with XM Radio and Live Weather Radar… Escort 8500 Radar Detector... All 3 BMW Aluminum Saddle Bags… Kako Throttle Control… BMW GSA Tank Bag... Baher Intercom System, with two headsets for full face helmets. It will run the GPS & XM & Radar Detector. It works on a priority system you can set. You can also talk to your passenger (voice activated) or you can talk bike to bike with “push to talk” I will even through in the walkie talkies... The bike has carbon fiber hand guards & splash guard… Piaa Driving Lights… Fastway Foot Pegs… Full AeroFlow Windshield… Air Horn… Dual Helmet Locks… Extra Power Port… Center Stand Skid Plate… Bar Backs… and Wider Mirrors. All the electronics were run through a Centec Fuse Panel. The tires are newer Metzler Tourance, I think they have about 1400 miles on the front & rear. The bike is near perfect condition, no scratches in the tank. If I could find any faults it has a slight scuff mark on the edge of the seat from getting on and off, I could cover it with shoe polish but want to be as accurate as possible. The two side bags have scuffs and I tried to polish them out so they have had the finish taken off them, they do shine up when you re-polish them, there are no dents in the bags. I also had a local guy epoxy the exhaust header pipes which he told me would last under heat, and it did not. While perfectly functional most of the coating has come off and they should be bead blasted to get any remaining black paint off. It does not bother me so I have not worried about it. I have sold a lot of stuff on ebay and as you can see I have 100% positive feedback and I want to keep it that way. I do reserve the right to end the auction early. I require a $500 deposit. I will give it back only if you do not think the bike is what I say it is. If you buy it an change your mind I keep the $500. But that is also the reason for my 100% feedback, I tell it like it is.
