Vehicle Detail

Whether your destination is the grocery store or Tierra Del Fuego, this big bad boy will get you there in style and comfort. Includes everything needed for extended travel, on or off the pavement. This is a big, powerful dual sport motorcycle designed to go anywhere, and is definitely not a suitable "first bike". It can gobble up the pavement at 90 mph all day long, and is right at home when the pavement ends. The bike is in excellent shape, with near perfect paint and only a few very minimal dings from it's 6 years on the roads. It is fully equipped with ABS brakes, heated grips, on board computer, Happy Trails powder coated aluminum side boxes, expandable Vario top box, BMW GS Tank Bag, BMW GS Vario Bag for the Vario expandable top box, BMW Motorrad Navigator II GPS, all manuals (including software and manual for GPS), BMW off road foot rests which make it easier to stand on the pegs for extended periods, 50watt Motolights on the calipers, driving lights, Touratech Screen to protect the headlight, and both a stock (depicted) and larger touring windshield. It has an on-board tool kit. The seat is a really comfortable custom Rick Mayer leather seat, adjustible for a low and a hgih position. I am about 5'8" but can reach the ground ok with it in the low position. The bike gets about 40-45 mpg under most conditions. Everything works as it should. The bike needs nothing to be ready to leave for Alaska or ??? Tires have at least 1/2 life left. Bike has been regularly serviced. Yes, it has been ridden off the pavement as it was intended to be, and has had a few low speed spills in deep loose sand and gravel. Absolutely the fault of the rider, not the bike. The only battle damage other than one or two tiny rock chips the size of a match head is a minor scratch on bottom of the right cylindar head, shown in photo. I will change the oil and filter prior to delivery and will use Mobil 1 Full Synthethic oil. The bike is just back from a trip from South Texas to New Mexico, Colorado, and Moab, Utah. The photo shown at the Continental Divide was taken about 2 weeks ago. The bike includes everything shown on it in that photo (except the helmet and jacket), as well as a larger touring windshield which is not shown but which is in excellent condition also. I am the third owner. I'm selling it because at age 66 and being 5'8", I think I might do better on a smaller, lighter machine, although I've ridden this one on a number of long trips without any trouble. But I'm ready to try an 800 GS or maybe a KTM 990. I will assist with shipping by delivering it to a local shipper, or I will gladly ride the bike to your doorstep within 1500 miles or so of San Antonio, TX, if you will buy my gas and get me an airplane ticket home.
