Vehicle Detail
1965 Oldsmobile Cutlass Club Coupe 442. Up for sale is my Olds 442. This is a 55,531 numbers matching original mile car. The car has large amounts of documentation including the Protect-O-Plate. This car was gone through in 2002. The 400ci engine was rebuilt and reinstalled with new rings, new bearings, new rockers, new cam, lifters, timing chain, and the heads were redone. The engine was not bored. Also done at the time was a new truck floor, new body mounts, new fuel line, brake lines, wheel cylinders, exhaust system, TRW springs, and delco shocks. The car also has a new radiator, master cylinder, and heater core. In 1965 they made 5713 Cutlass Club Coupes. This is one of the 2262 Automatics they made that year. The two speed Jetway transmission shifts flawlessly. The engine runs superb and has the original Rochester Carb. Options include tinted windows, trunk release, and drivers side rear view mirror. The original Interior in in excellent condition. The original radio still works. The car was plain white when I purchased it. i thought it was a little plain so I decided to make a replica B/SA drag car out of it. The car is completly street legal. The 442 would have ran in the NHRAs B stock automatic class in 1965. Going from older pictures of other Olds drag cars I had the car hand lettered by a local artist. It has a set of Pie Crust Cheater Slicks mounted on steel wheel on the rear and a set of Craiger SS on the front. A period Sun Tach complets the time warp look. The engine is spotless as is the rest of the car. The bumpers could use a recrome and I have the origial side trim but it is not on the car at the moment. I have included a photo of the side trim. The car was just featured in a regional magazine and is a show stopper on cruise night. If you have any questions please feel free to e-mail me or call Chad at 919-320-4588.On Aug-07-11 at 19:57:07 PDT, seller added the following information: Although some call this a Cutlass Club Coupe 442 I have been told the correct title is a Cutlass Sports Coupe 442 of which 2262 automatics were made. I have included a photo of the data tag for reference.
