Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1955 Chevrolet Belair convertible project. I bought this car 5 years ago as it sits and haven't done a damn thing with it. It is time to go. This car was repaired using a four door donor car. Most of the convertible specific parts are there- a convertible top rack in great condition, pinch weld molding, inner quarter trim, windshield trim. A windshield is not included. No front or rear seats, or rear piston covers. Side windows/ window frames included. This car is solid with minor rust pinholes in a couple locations- thats it. 1955 Chevy 265 small block, with what i think is a powerglide auto transmission, is included. The frame is in really nice condition and was painted black before the body put back on. A clean California title in my name is included. Very low reserve- I think you could part this car out and come out ahead knowing how much these 55 parts and convertible parts go for. The winning bidder is to contact me at auction’s end. $1000 nonrefundable deposit due within 3 working days and the car is to be paid for in full within 10 days of auction’s end with no exceptions. I will store the car for one month free of charge after the auction. If you need the car to stay longer I will store it for $100 per month- sorry i'm needing to make room and I want the car outta here. The buyer is responsible for shipping. If you’re somewhat local I may deliver the car for an agreed upon fee to cover gas, etc.On Aug-20-11 at 19:32:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Comes with both the front and rear bumper. On Aug-20-11 at 23:53:42 PDT, seller added the following information: this is a NON running projectOn Aug-21-11 at 10:24:51 PDT, seller added the following information: i've been getting lots of emails wanting me to tell them what the lowest i'll take is to end the auction now. like i've been telling everyone, MAKE ME YOUR BEST OFFER AND I'LL CONSIDER ENDING THE AUCTION IF IT'S A GOOD ENOUGH OFFER. thanks for the interest. On Aug-21-11 at 13:12:20 PDT, seller added the following information: i guess some are not getting it- please don't ask me what the lowest i'll take for the car- there is a lowest i would take, but i would like to get more- that is the whole point of an auction. i'm not sure what is so hard to understand about that! haha if you'd like to email me an offer please do so. i'll listen to all offers. thanks to everyone for the interestOn Aug-21-11 at 14:24:05 PDT, seller added the following information: The current high bid has revealed my reserve. The bid was placed by someone who just became an EBAY member today. I fully expect this to turn out to be a nonpaying bidder or a retracting bidder (apologies in advance to chip foose, who happens to be the high bidder, if he turns out to be legit) who only put a bid to try to figure out my reserve. Those with zero or negative feedbacks must contact me prior to placing a bid otherwise your bid will be cancelled immediately. thanks for all the interest from all honest bidders.
