Vehicle Detail

Really nice low mileage 1978 Indy Pace car that has been in the family since it was brand new. Father-in-law purchased the vehicle with 13 original miles on it (new) passed away in 2004 with only putting a little over 5,000 miles on his car, Just over 5,000 models of this version of the Corvette was made in 1978, far few exist today! I am pairing down the toy collection and am reluctantly putting it up for sale! (My 11-year-old twins have stopped talking to me!) I had the vehicle completely overhauled in 2004 (new tires, hoses, etc.). New exhaust put in around 2006. New tee tops around 2005 (never lay golf clubs on glass tee-tops!). Car was re-painted, re-carpeted, and re-decaled in 2008. Recent battery. It just had a "check-up" by our mechanic and it passed with flying colors, runs great, looks great. L42 V-8 engine, Automatic Transmission. Power windows, door locks, rear window de-fogger. Aluminum wheels. Tee-tops. CD Player (original 8-track play does not work, but I kept it). I also have several collectables (1978 Indy Pace Car AFX slot car set, Jim Beam decanter, Franklin Mint model, all of this vehicle) that could be negotiated in if buyer wants to start an instant collection! Car has a silver custom (1978 corvette) car cover. Also added is a set of BLACK TEE-TOPS (they do not have locking hardware or inserts, only the fiberglass tops). Issues: Two small scratches on left rear (pictured)) that I will probably touch up soon, passenger side visor is missing (pictured), and volt meter does not work (it used to work up until this summer so I don't know if it's a connection or a problem with the device. I have never asked anyone to play with the cruise control, but I bought another (untested on eBay) and will provide it as well. If you need other information or pictures, please advise. I have never taken it out without someone beeping, waving, or commenting on the car. It gets a ton of attention! Buyer is responsible for pick-up or shipping.
