Vehicle Detail
" BARN FIND" I found this sweet little Coupe while working in Santa Barbara,CA. peeking out of the barn doors at me. After Meeting the owner, he told me that he was the second owner and that the first owner did a drivetrain swap in the 60's. Its powered by a small block Chevy Engine mated to a 4 speed manual trans and connected to a 55-64 chevy posi unit . ( Both wheels spin forward when I rotated the Drivers side). The body is Rust free and basically dent free...... Running board has some small gouges. Otherwise its the nicest 75 year old body ive seen. The coupe is very complete, inside garnish mouldings, dome light, door wind shades, trunk plywood, glass tailight lenses, Windows roll up and down easy, glove box liner, hood bird and all hinges and latches all work as they should. Owner said it last ran two years ago. Will need old gas removed, carb freshened, and a good clean up before use. Has drum brakes in rear and new disc brakes conversion in the front. Frame looks great, maintenance records since new found in glove box, Every oil change, tires etc.... Interior is black diamond tuck in decent shape for a driver. Last owner covered bare metal spots on body with spray paint, but body is accident free and dent free.Paint is original and very thin. Bare metal can be see at numerous spots all over the car. Could use paint if you wanted a show piece, but cool with its original patina. Front winshield, side quarter glass and rear glass are new with rubber. Door glass has yellowing between panes. Tires are new and wheels are 60's vintage western wheels. Dash is very nice and gauges are perfect. Trunk could fit 20 cases of moonshine . Old STEEL coupes are really becoming hard to find, especially Rust Free examples that are complete. A good mechanic could freshen this car in a weekend. I've seen incomplete Ford rust bucket coupes that need piles of work selling for 10K. I think this is a bargain at 12,500. Or you could pay 35-50K for a finished one, but this one wont break your bank.......Thanks for Bidding.......(Bob) at 949-874-8222 Call me if you want to buy it now, I have listed this on two other venues, and reserve the right to end auction early.
