FOR SALE: 1971 Volkswagen Squareback (Type 3) This is a great project car looking for a second restoration. Full Disclosure: The engine is in poor-average condition; it was rebuilt in 2005 with a dual-carburator system and has 20,000 miles on it but the valves need adjusting and it runs very sluggishly right now. However, there is only superficial damage to the body (see pics) and the paint is worn only in the high spots (the roof, the hood and the tops of the fenders.) The rest of the paint is in good condition. The interior of the car is fair, given that it's lasted forty years. With a little TLC, this could easily be restored to its original beauty. This car is being sold as-is; I offer no warranties or guarantees as to its condition.
