Vehicle Detail

RELISTED DUE TO NON-PAYING BUYER. THIS IS A VERY NICE DRIVER QUALITY (350/360HP LT1) CAMARO Z28. READY TO CRUISE!!! I bought this car from an estate a few years ago. It has an original warranty replacement CE block (CEA128543). It was in decent shape but needed some work to get it where you see it today. The car was compltely rebuilt and mildly customized in the 80's. See all of that chrome under the hood in the pictures? Those are all original parts that were chromed during the 80's restoration work here in Phoenix. I have a binder full of receipts for work and service on this car from then and now. I was tempted to restore it all back to it's original state under the hood but the chrome has grown on me over the past few years. I left all of that chrome in place and just cleaned up the engine compartment when we removed the engine. The engine was actually very clean so it just got a quick once over with a carb rebuild, valve adjustment and tune up and is just like it was built and documented in the "July, 1985 Super Chevy" article. I have included a copy of that article in the listing and can send anyone a copy who wants to read about the cars early street life. I have restored the rest of the car to near original specs except for the obvious Pro-Touring suspension work that I am doing (See List below). This car accelerates and handles like an animal and goes through the turns like you would expect a well built Pro-Tour car to do. During the time that the car has been in my possession, I have also done the following; Complete New Cars Inc. Interior New Carpet New Seat Covers New Door Panels New Package tray New Headliner and sail panels Engine & Transmission Rebuilt Carb Super Tuned New OEM "Dual Snorkel" LT1 Air cleaner Muncie M21 Transmission with Hurst Competition Shifter I have not had the car dyno'd but I would venture to guess that it is pushing close to 450 HP now out of the LT1. Look at the engine specs in the 1985 Super Chevy Ad. That is what you get mechanically in this car. I added the Hurst Comp shifter for those quick protour shifts. Suspension 12 Bolt Rear End Complete New Front end and Front Disk Brakes with drop spindles (Still has original rear drums) New front Sway Bar. New Dual Magnaflow Exhaust Body The "rust free" body is exactly like it was when the car was painted in 1985. The paint is decent driver quality (7/10). I had it buffed a couple of times and was happy with the results so I decided not to paint the car. I think that the lack of dings could be attributed to the side guards and the fact that the car was basically parked for 20 years. There is one picture of the trunk (prior to detailing) that shows the only surface rust that I found anywhere on the car. The black stripes were in the worst shape and I had them repainted. I had a painter and ding repair expert go around the car and remove any parking lot dings that were in it. Look at the pictures closely, this is one straight Camaro Z28. The wheels on the car are Boss 19" with brand new tires. You can choose these wheels and tires or I can swap for a set of period correct 5 spoke rally rims and tires (buyers choice). What does not work There is no audio in the car. I unhooked all of the aftermarket speakers when I restored the interior last year. It comes with the 80's cassette player and an original AM radio in the bo (to be hooked up). The Clock does not work (they can be purchased for $150 with new internal works) The heater is not hooked up. You can see the chromed housing in the pictures. All of the heater parts are there but the hoses are not connected. This automobile is sold 'as is' and 'where is' on-site. Please ask your questions before, not after, you bid. The car is sold without further warranties or representations. Your bid is a binding contract so please ensure that you have all of your questions answered and financing in place before you place a bid.
