1989 Chevrolet Cavalier Z24 Convertible Burgundy Chevy Cavalier Z24 Convertible for sale by original owner. I purchased this car new and I have owned it ever since. It has been well cared for and always garaged. I no longer have room to store it, so it is now for sale. It is in very good shape and has very low miles for a 1989 car- only 53,614 miles. It has a V6 2.8 liter engine and automatic transmission. Tires have good tread left. The convertible top was replaced about 3 years ago and is in perfect shape. Interior is grey cloth and is in very good, clean condition. I am a non-smoker so there is no smell of stale smoke in this car. AM/FM stereo radio with cassette. Starts and runs well. Paint is mostly in excellent shape except for a few small scratches. The alloy wheels have some corrosion. AC is not working - probably just needs some freon, but I have not had it checked. I have the original owners manual, including the Convertible owners manual supplement. On Aug-17-11 at 10:50:03 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer some questions I have received regarding the car: The convertible top is automatic. After releasing two latches in the front, you just push a button and the top goes down (or up) automatically. I have the instruction booklet regarding the operation of the top. I tested the automatic top when I took the photos for the listing and it worked fine. The power windows work. The right rear window may need some manual assist to go all the way down or up if it hasn't been used for a while. The car doesn't have any rust. It basically has not been driven more than 2 or 3 times a year for the past 17 years. I got a new car in 1994 but I couldn't bear to part with this car so it has been kept in a garage and basically not driven for the past 17 years. The paint is generally in great shape. Just a few small scratches as mentioned in the original listing. The largest scratch is about 1 inch long on the back fender. The other scratches are smaller and not noticeable. It has never been in a wreck. I don't have the records for oil changes, etc. The VIN number listed is correct. I don't know why the ebay web site doesn't come up with the free car report. You can check the VIN at the Ohio BMV website. The title is good. I am the only owner this car has had. There is no "buy it now" price for the car. It is being sold in Auction format. The reserve price has already been met, so it will sell to the high bidder at the end of the auction. I have started the car and driven it and have had no problems mechanically. It is not leaking any fluids on the garage floor. I have represented it as accurately as I can. It is a 1989 car, so there is No Warranty and the car is being being sold AS IS. Hope this helps.
