Vehicle Detail

In the vintage automobile arena - you often hear about "survivor" cars. This 1968 Olds 442 W-30 is just that. My buddy's dad was the second owner of this car - he owned it for 30 years. I am the third owner. YOUTUBE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lq0MFYJAuCw&feature=player_embedded#at=22 This car is all original - engine, rear end, tranny - you name it. All the gauges and electonics are in working order. Even the AM/FM Radio and antenna works! It even has that little irritating buzzer that buzzs to indicate you need ot fasten your seatbelt - wow. The mechanics to the ragtop are power and work great. For it's age, the ragtop is in remarkable condition - no tears or splits. No cracks in the dash. All original glass - including wing windows. The doors close like brand new. Other items: 400 360 horse power engine with functional RAM air. Transmission casting number is 3925660. A serial number of P8D08A which indicates this is a Muncie 4 speed M20 Transmission. The rear end code is TO which identifies it as a 1968 3.91 Posi-anti spin, 12 bolt rear. The distributor number on the baseplate is 1111288. Internet research shows this is the correct number for this car and model with a w/UHV ignition. The original red plastic fender liners were painted black at some point - I have cleaned them up - as you can see in the photos. This is an old school original car in all it's glory. Wikipedia states that only 110 of these cars in this particular model were made. Do your research. I also encourage any interested buyer (at buyer expense) to have the car professionally inspected at any reputable dealership or mechanics shop - here in Portland Oregon. At some point the second owner tried to do a little DIY touchup paint of a scratch in the rear passenger quarter panel. It is not the same yellow color - but a couple of shades slightly darker (see image). I can arrange to ship the car anywhere in the world - at buyer expense. Call David 24/7 no matter the time zone 503-805-4644 - if you get my VM - leave me a message. I am not interested in reminiscing about "the one that got away" or the first car you got booty in....I am also not into online romance over a car - do not ask me to send you endless emails. Just do business - buy it or leave it pick up the phone and call me - the old fashioned way - remember how?
