Vehicle Detail

1970 VW Beetle for Parts or Great Restoration Car**(I have been notified that this is a 1972 super beetle)Helping a friend sell this bug that he bought about 10 years agoI do not know a lot about beetles but will do my best to describeHe was to buy a running bug 10 years ago, the friend he bought it from started the carthen walked away for a half hour and did not know there was no oil in it, needless to saythe motor seized up and it was no longer a running car, he bought it regardless. He then went to a local VW parts store and bought a motor for $950, this motor was run at the storebut was for a 72 beetle (which he told me is a little different hook-up). The motor is in the carbut since installed has not been run, something about generator vs alternator (again I don't know bugs).**(if this car is a 72 super beetle then the motor could be a 70 my friend said one or the other ??)It appears to be all hooked-up and there are other parts from the other motor (the last picture). The bug has been parked and tarped for 10 years and seems to be in pretty good conditionfor a 1970's model, the fenders are off and I cant see any dents on them and the rubberseals fender to body are pliable with no splitting, all the mounting bolts appear to be here. The floor pan is solid however I did notice it seems to have rusted under the battery. There is very little rust over the entire car and the trunk lid ?? has a couple of dents (see photo's)The exterior lighting with trims, backing plates and lens covers with the exception of one are in excelent condition (see photo's one lens is broken)The vent glass is in tact, however vandals broke all other glass 9 years ago, all the glass seals are there and very good condition. There are two front seats and rear bench seat which should probably be re covered.Tires are dry rotted, no radio and there are no bumpers. As far as I can tell the rest of the bug is all here.I have never delt with beetles before but it feels and looks solid. This would be a Great Parts or Restoration car.THINGS TO NOTEMy friend never got the title and it will be sold as is with a bill of sale. The clutch pedal works but the brake & gas pedals are froze up. I do not offer shipping, you are responsible for that but I will help load.I do not know if the milage is correct as the odometer dosn't go to the hundred thousands.I do require full payment with in 7 days.I can store longer if needed. Thanks for looking and I hope my description helps.
