Vehicle Detail
After years of faithful service and recent replacement of the timing belt, we found out there is/was another belt-we did not have it replaced at the same time since we didn't know about it. (You might think someone would have mentioned it when the timing belt was done, eh?) Sure enough, it self-destructed and took out the new timing belt along with some bent valves and we think a dinged piston or two. So we bought a new small car with a warranty! But now the Eclipse is sitting out back as an ornament for the clydesdales to admire . . . they like the color but are otherwise unimpressed. Please add this car to your to-do list so the horses will quit laughing at me when I go out to feed them! Needless to say, it does not run/will not start but all the parts are there for the adventuresome shadetree mechanic who could give this heap . . . er, car, a loving home. Thanks for looking, listening, reading, whatever!!On Aug-03-11 at 16:31:57 PDT, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE-THIS IS NOT A 4-WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE!!!!! THE HEADING IS IN ERROR!!! IF YOU HAVE MADE A BID EXPECTING A 4-WHEEL DRIVE, PLEASE EMAIL ME IMMEDIATELY SO I CAN CANCEL YOUR BID!!! I have no idea how the 4x4 symbol ended up on the heading, but it is definitely NOT a 4x4-it is front-wheel drive only!! Also, please note the closeups of the dents. There is one dent in each rear quarter-panel, courtesy of some outdoor tables at a local restaurant during a wind-storm. Other than that the original description applies as below: After years of faithful service and recent replacement of the timing belt, we found out there is/was another belt-we did not have it replaced at the same time since we didn't know about it.
