2002 BMW M3 SMG TRANSMISSION WITH 79K MILES Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Description You are looking at my 2002 BMW M3 with SMG Transmission. The car has 79k. The reason I am selling my car is because I bought a 2008 E92 M3. Otherwise I won't sell it because it's meticulously maintained at the BMW dealership. The car is always maintained at Ganley BMW in Middleburg Hts. The outside is shiny, no paint work, No accident at all, Clean Carfax and Autocheck. The car was just serviced at the BMW dealership last week. I have Put new fuel pump and filter about 10 days ago ($1200). The job was done by Ganley BMW. The car has new brake pads, rotors and sensors installed about a year ago. I have all the receipts kept. I will send all the papers and receipts. The car is silver with black leather interior. The outside looks great, the car is always garaged and driven on the weekend. The car has parking sensor which is very rare to find in a 2002 M3. I have put customized LED taillights to make the car look like a 2004-2006 models. I purchased the taillights for $400. I have the original tail lights also. The car has new battery installed about 10 months ago. I have all the manuals, 2 master keys and original M3 carpets. The car is rare and very hard to find. The E46 M3 (2001-2006) is rated one of the best sports car of all time. The airbag light is on. This is happened about a week ago, and you need to reset it at the dealership. I think it's $110 to reset it. The car has some transmission issue. Sometime with hard acceleration, the transmission doesn't switch gears right away and you can hear the transmission trying to go in but it makes a little crunch sound like it's trying to go and when you take your foot of the gaz, the gear shifts normally. The problem doesn't happen all the time, it doesn't happen if you are not speeding and it only happens with hard acceleration. The dealership said it might be the sensors that need to be replaced. The car might needs a transmission. If you know how to put new sensors or if you know how to put a smg transmission, this is will be an easy fix. I saw smg transmissions on ebay or at www.car-part.com going for about $1100 and the labor to put a transmission is about $1000. I could have done it myself at the bmw dealership because it will cost me about $2300 to put a used smg transmission, and bearing in mind that I have taken great care of this car and spent too much money to maintain it. I got another car and it’s time for this E46 to go. I wish I can keep it because the E46 (2001-2006) is my favorite car of all time. I decided to get a CPO 2008 M3. Tires condition The car has the original Bmw M3 wheels with Bridgestone Potenza extreme summer performance. The tires were purchased and installed by the BMW Dealership ($1450) about 9 months ago. Front tires are 225/45-18, and rear tires are 255/40-18. The front tires are in very good condition. The rear tires have 20% of their life left. I will include 2 Michelin pilot Tires size 225/45-18 that I also purchased for this car. Those Michelin tires are in very good condition. Check the pictures.
