Vehicle Detail
Hello finned Mopar collectors and fans of rare and unusual station wagons. Up for auction is Christine's big brother and what you see in front of you is a rare 1958 Plymouth Sport Suburban station wagon with Fury trim package and top of the line options. There were 4 various model wagons manufactured by Plymouth in 1958 - 2 separate Custom Suburbans, 1 Deluxe Suburban, then they manufactured this Sport Suburban which was the rarest ( and now the most desirable ) of anything made in 1958. A little over 10,000 of these beauties were originally made according to experts online and it is guessed that only a small fraction exist today. This wagon is painted code BBB "Blue Bonnet Blue" with two-tone Iceburg White. Paint was recently done. The optional Deluxe interior was done in two-tone white and black with silver/charcoal grey flecked seat inserts, and finishing everything off is clear/silver piping. Upholstery was redone for the exception of the door panels and headliner which are original. The optional steering wheel was done in two-tone black & white. One neat thing we found under the front seat were 3 original 1950's California road maps. One from Los Angeles, one other from San Gabriel, and the other from San Fernando Valley. They come with the car as i feel they belong with it. All carpet was redone in black loop nylon. The rear has a huge storage compartment for luggage, groceries, parts, etc. The engine is the optional 318 V8 Fury V-800 Super-Pak with 4 barrel carburetor . The push button transmission is automatic. Along with the options previously mentioned it also comes with deluxe radio, power steering ,brakes (completely rebuilt) , and the gold "V" emblem on the grille that only the optional V8's came with. I opted to put aftermarket hubcaps on the car for a clean and unique look , however along with many other parts we do have the factory Plymouth hubcaps that we'd gladly throw in. The car also comes with a factory original 1958 Plymouth Owners/Service book. Everything mentioned goes with the car free of charge. Whether you are collector of rare 50's Mopars or simply a fanatic over station wagons. Don't lose this opportunity to purchase something rare and different. This appears to be a very solid car. Don't let this slip away - you wont find another one of these available on Ebay! Before purchasing this wagon i had never heard or seen anything like it. Tow your vintage tear drop, travel trailer, or classic boat with it. Take it to the classic car shows and cruises, If you live near the ocean attend the yearly Woody/Wagon gatherings and watch people grin from ear to ear. There is a chance this could be advertised locally so if you like what you see and read don't hesitate to call any time day or night . Experts in the classic Mopar industry have told us that they value this vehicle in the upper $20,000/low $30,000 range BUT, we would consider selling this at a fraction of that amount! *Take note* Car is registered and comes with a clear title . All sales final. Ask all questions prior to bidding and/or buying. There are no guarantee's / warranty's . No exchanges or refunds. Do not worry about shipping as i know of two reputable Auto Transport carriers. Buyer pays for shipping and i will see to it that the car arrives in a safe and prompt manner. This includes out of the country shipping. I will ship world wide and will gladly personally deliver the car to the loading docks in Long Beach, California. Again, any questions don't hesitate to call. (909)-437-2068. Thanks and have a wonderful day.
