Vehicle Detail

Very nice original truck. Cardinal Red paint shines like new. (This was manufactured before a clearcoat finish was applied to trucks). Original red interior is very nice including the original red rubber floor mat and uncracked and unblemished dash. There is some fading on the plastic door panels but these can easily be redyed. All glass is intact. Original AM radio has been replaced by an aftermarket AM/FM with cassette but no holes have been cut for speakers. A sliding rear window was added at delivery. The original 5.7 L V-8 runs quietly with no unusual noises or fluid leaks. The Turbo 350 transmission shifts properly. The truck is equipped with a set of Uniroyal Laredo RWL radials which have the Nail Guard feature. (For those who may not know, the Nail Guard tires feature puncture sealing construction) The truck came with a silver painted rear step bumper originally. I was fortuneate enough to find an identical chromed rear bumper locally and replaced the painted one. I think that it adds a nice touch. Everything else is as I received it with the exception of servicing and a recent muffler. The roof mounted clearence lights are factory original as I have the build sheet (plus other original literature)which shows all the original equipmentincluding heavy duty springs and shocks. Final drive ratio is 3.07:1. I got the truck from the original owners in eastern Ohio. I have a copy of the original title. The original owners have a horse ranch. They spent winters in Florida and the truck stayed in Ohio in the garage with little or no exposure to northern winters. Additionally, the truck received a Zeibart rust proofing treatment when new. The only rust through spot is at the bottom of the left rear wheel well. (See picture) which I believe was mostly due to exposure to tailpipe moisture and corrosive gasses. Cab corners, rocker panels and door bottoms are rust free. There are two small rust spots at the rear corners of the pickup bed. There are a couple of minor bumps and bruises and some light surface rust from road rash. I recently moved to PA from TX and bought this truck to have a 4X4 for the winter and a means of transporting things. As I'm sure that you know, 4X4 pickups of this vintage ride on solid axles and leaf springs. This one has heavy duty springs and shocks. All this adds up to a ride that is too uncomfortable for my bad back. So it must find a new home. Everything works on the truck. Oil pressure reads in the center of the guage as does the temperature. If I were able to keep the truck and drive it, I was going to have the rust spot, dent and road rash repaired and have it resprayed from the beltline molding down. I've tried to describe everything that would be of interest to me. I have some additional pictures. If to would like to see them, please inquire with your email address. I don't own a computer but will make every effort to check every day for messages. Please ASK QUESTION! If you are the winning bidder and determine that I have grossley misrepresented the truck upon personal inspection, I will refund your $500.00 deposit in full. If you decide for ANY reason that you don't want the the truck after inspection, I will refund $250.00 of your $500.00 deposit. I think that's very fair. You may call me, Fred, between 8AM and 10PM at (817)269-6037 if you wish. A $500.00 non refundable deposit is required within 48 hours of auction end. Vehicle pickup and cash payment of the balance due is required within 7 days of auction end. Failure to meet both requirements will result in the truck being offered to the next highest bidder. NO EXCEPTIONS. I may be able to deliver the truck within 250 miles for a reasonable cost PLUS a plane ticket home. The reserve is very reasonable for a turn key vintage truck in nice condition and represents my investment.
