1972 BMW R 75/5 SWB TOASTER This motorcycle was in fair condition, with low miles, but needed a good refresh to bring back to close to original condition. The bike runs and looks great, and has a Corbin aftermarket SWB custom seat. The following was performed last fall and winter and includes a complete rebuild of the Speedometer/Tachometer. This unit needed needles and a new bezel, the original mileage settings were retained by the reputable rebuild vendor. The gas tank, fenders, and headlight shell have been re-painted. Th hand striping has not been clear covered keeping the original configuration of white accents. The frame, sub-frame, and swing arm, are powder coated. The engine was gone through since the bike had been stored for some years. We cleaned, inspected, and replaced any needed items. Of course we installed new pushrod seals, head, oil pan, valve cover gaskets, and all fluids. New oil, and fuel filters, new petcocks, and fuel lines were installed. Also replaced with new parts were the fork seals, the carburetor intake tubes, the drive shaft boot, bearing seals, headlight lens, rubber parts, exhaust clamps, clutch, brake and throttle cables, as well as new fork gaiters. The wheels have new stainless spokes, and new tires. The mufflers are new aftermarket slash 5 replicas. We inspected and lubed all splines which are in excellent condition. A complete tune–up was performed, which included new points, spark plugs, new plug wires and caps. A new starter relay was installed. Also the carburetors were cleaned and rebuilt with new gaskets, o rings, floats, and diaphragms. Included are new intake tubes and rubber parts. New rubber parts, shift lever, foot pegs and original Magura grips. The bike also has a new AGM sealed battery. There are a number of pictures showing the condition of the motorcycle. The winning bidder is asked to transfer a $500 non-refundable deposit via Paypal, and begin making arrangements for payment with me, within 72 hours of the auctions end. The transaction to be completed within a 7 day period, unless other arrangements have been made. I will be happy to turn the bike over to your shipper, according to your directions, by your arrangement. All shipping arrangements and cost are the responsibility of the buyer.
