1958 STUDEBAKER SILVERHAWK 2dr Cpe Styled by “The Father of Industrial Design” Raymond Leowy, the 1958 Studebaker Silver Hawk bore a striking new design on the highway unlike any other car of its era, with its uniquely drawn roofline, splayed fins and sloped front end. The 1958 Silver Hawk featured here was restored in the not too distant past so is yet in very nice condition. Chrome is in good condition (some pieces off the car are in trunk) hubcaps are excellent cond and tires are okay. The red color is exceptionally eye-catching. Has a sort of James Bond look about it. The car’s 289 is loose and supposed to run well but we have never started it. When tuned for maximum performance these 225 horsepower engines boast more than enough power making it a pleasure to drive. Automatic transmission and factory AC make this Texas car a complete package and great candidate for restoration and it fully deserves to be taken all the way. Very solid and clean in and out. We bought this as a part of a package deal and would love to keep and restore it to the hilt but have way too many projects already in progress and must let this one go.
