Vehicle Detail
Offered is this well cared for 22-year old Dodge Ram D150 LE/SE. I am the second owner, purchasing the truck in April 1994 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. - 5.9 liter / 360ci V8 - 4-speed automatic transmission (with overdrive) - Sure Grip / Positrack rear end - Air Conditioning – blows ice cold (recently converted to R-134a) - Cruise Control - Power steering - Power door locks - Power windows - Alloy wheels - Sliding rear window - Camper shell There are 94,185 miles on the odometer, but it stopped working a few years ago. I have a logbook of every tank of gas, every oil change, and all maintenance and repairs, since I purchased this truck. This vehicle runs and drives wonderfully. The BF Goodrich All Terrain tires are in good condition. The oil has been changed every 2,500 miles. The camper shell is carpeted (padded?) on the inside. I mostly used the truck to haul mountain bikes and an occasional overnight camping trip. The truck towed a small pop-up tent trailer about a dozen times. I swapped the steel rims with the “dorky” hubcaps for a set of alloy rims that look very similar to the factory alloy rims offered back in 1990. The 5.9 liter / 360ci V8 runs excellent and the transmission shifts perfectly. The air conditioning system has been converted from R-12 to R-134a. That conversion wasn’t inexpensive, but it sure makes for a cool, comfortable ride. The cruise control sets and holds whatever speed you are comfortable with. I had the truck repainted the original colors about 10-years ago, but the hot New Mexico sun has baked off much of the clear coat off the wheel, most likely due to regular washings. There is a small dent on the rear bumper where I backed into a large rock (that sure upset me!). The truck has never been in an accident, and with the exception of the rust bubbles noted above, this is a dry, rust-free vehicle. Having several other vehicles, this truck has been driven less than 1,000 miles for the past two years. While this is a great old truck, and has been dependable for the past 18 years, I just don’t use it any more. The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is: 3B7GE13Z3LM036234 Current NADA retail value is $4,225, but you can Buy It Now for $2,850. While this seems to be harsh, I feel is necessary to specifically spell out the terms and conditions of the sale of this vehicle. If you place a bid, you are agreeing to each of these terms and conditions. - This is a 22-year old vehicle. It is used, has 95,000 miles of wear, tear, scratches, and New Mexico sun. I have tried to represent the vehicle as close as possible with a written description as well as with pictures. It isn’t a perfect vehicle, but it is better than most 22-year old vehicles. - For the winning bidder, your $250 deposit is non-refundable. In addition to the cost of the ad, I lose an opportunity to sell to a serious buyer. - Your non-refundable deposit is due, via PayPal, within 48-hours of the close of the auction. - Full payment, in CASH, is due within 7-days of the close of the auction. That will give you time to fly in from anyplace in the country, complete the transaction, and drive home. - This CASH transaction must be done in person. I will not sell to agents, brokers, or anybody other than to who the title is being signed. - I will ask for a copy of a valid drivers license. - If you have less than “10” positive feedbacks, your bid will be cancelled, unless you contact me prior to placing a bid. - I am not interested in trades. I have more than enough vehicles. - I have a job that keeps me busy 50-60 hours a week. If you would like to have the vehicle inspected, you will have to work around my schedule. For some crazy reason, my boss hates it when I take off in the middle of the day to “play cars.” - Feel free to send a qualified mechanic to inspect this truck. I am not willing to release the vehicle to a third-party inspector, your friend, or anybody else unless I have your deposit in hand. You are 100% responsible for paying for an inspection. I am willing to meet an inspector within 5-miles of my residence, subject to my work schedule. - Did I mention this is a CASH transaction? No checks. No money orders. No IOUs. No credit cards. Payment in US dollars, in $100 bills, is fine with me. Anything else, please don’t waste your time or mine. Please note this vehicle is being offered both locally and nationally and will be sold to the first buyer with “cash in hand.” The only acceptable form of payment is CASH. Shipping is 100% the responsibility of the buyer although you can fly into Albuquerque International Airport (about 20-minutes away) and drive the truck home.
