Offered for sale is a 2000 Grand Prix GT. I bought this from a neighbor who's son was the original owner. He (the father) was the second owner. The car has 177k hiway miles. Body is excellent (aside from rear bumper - see pictures). One door ding on front passenger door. Interior is excellent. Engine runs good - and starts right up. No smoke or leaks under the car. No odd noises. I had the car running for over an hour while taking pictures, etc. I did smell a little oil - no smoke under the hood. The transmission has issues. I have driven the car around the block (drove the car home from the neighbor's). Here are my observations: Transmission slips in all three lower gears when shifted manually. First gear slips, but will get the car moving. Second gear is the best of the first three gears. It will easily pull the car past 30 mpg but still slips. Third gear will also move the car beyond 35 mph. I don't know how fast the car will go beyond that because I won't attempt any faster in a residential neighborhood. Drive (D) - is same as putting the trans in neutral. Reverse works fine. SRS Airbag light is on. I have done a walk around of the vehicle and have noted everything I can think of: Item Works?
