My daughter is the 4th owner of this great 57 Chevy. She has been accepted to school in London, England and the car must go. To our best knowledge, the car is original and stock. ALL numbers match. Motor # is 3731548....283 V-8, 220 hp. 2bbl. It is a 2 spd. auto. The code is F207F (F=Flint, MI; 2=Feb. 1957;07th day;F=2 sp. auto). TRIM #= Style 57-1019D (4-door BelAIr, V-8,# 2403). BODY= VN 8104 (4-door sedan); TRIM 663=Silver Vinyl with Black Silver Pattern Cloth. PAINT- Upper-India Ivory White factory white code is 811D.. The original color was Coronad Yellow...car was Painted only a year ago...it is Factory 57 Tropical Turquoise (blue) # 749. I was told that the motor has been rebuilt (but I have no papers). The "C" in the vin Number shows that the car is a REAL Belair and not a 150/250 Chevy model. The motor fires up EVERY TIME immediately! NO smoke.! The tranny works great... Everthing we know about the car works....the HORN, the RADIO (orig. push-button radio), the DOME LIGHT, the CLOCK, the WIPERS, TURN SIGNALS and ALL the LIGHTS (even the Lic. plate light in the rear bumper WORKS). Speaker's are in the front dash AND rear deck. Finally, the ACC Code is E71 for Power steering (works great). There are no accidents, rust or bondo that I know of. ....even the original jack in the trunk! HISTORY: My daugter bought the car from the 3rd owner. The car was put together at the Los Angeles,CA plant. It was sold originally in Phoenix, AZ (see rear lic. plate frame). The 2nd and 3rd owners are from North California.... This car is NOT perfect and it's not a show car. The front bumper has some little bubbles on the lower bumper....see photo #6. When my daughter bought the car I took it to my mechanic, and he went thru the entire car. He had to replace the ORIGINAL front shocks ! He said the tires and brakes are like brand new. I had him install some gauges to show the Temp/Oil pressure/Volt, then he installed a new am/fm/cd in the glove box. The car just arrived from Boise to SF; 650 miles with NO PROBLEMS ..WHAT-SO-EVER. She has let me drive the car and it is a BLAST. Everytime I drive it...people stop me to look at it and talk about it and how they LOVE the car and it's condition!!!! Ask any questions. I have a 100% E-Bay rating. The car is up for sale locally (San Fransicso Bay Area) and this ad may stop earlier. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY. The title is CLEAR. NO WARRANTY GIVEN. THE CAR WILL BE RELEASED ONLY AFTER THE BANK CLEARS THE FUNDS. Will help the buyer in anyway. The buyer pays for shipping (if needed). PROBLEM: The hood needs to be adjusted....it locks just fine...BUT not perfect. Also, when you select 'D' for driving, the selector is off the center of the 'D' by 1/16 of an inch.
