Vehicle Detail
1967 GMC SWB First of all this is a very solid southern truck. It has all its orginal floors, rockerpanels and braces. There is some bubbles here and there starting to show, but you have to look for them(nothing rusted through except a spot on the floor). The frame was cut behind the cab and narrowed, I believe it to have a Ford rearend. Paint is of a driver quality (a twenty footer) black cherry metallic with red metallic flames. A fuel/tool box was added in the rear of the bed for extra weight(it is not used as a fuel tank) but you can add water for more weight or just take it out if you like. The previous owner of the truck (believe it or not) used it as a every day driver, he even said he would get 12 mpg if he kept his foot out of it. The engine is a 454 with mild hydraulic cam (I don't know the specs), a turbo 400 trans with a low or stock stall converter, gears are for street cruising, not drag racing and the carbs are 600's. The engine is very strong and the mileage on the ODO is the miles on the engine and trans 15,407. Power brakes are disc on the front (from another truck) and drums on the rear. The power brakes work good, but the brake lines could be rerouted or replaced to look alot better. Power steering works good, but looks like there is a leak coming from a seal on the steering box. The front tires are new coopers, rears are 33X21.5X15 MT's with about 50-60% tread life. The interior is fairly basic with the bench seat being redone awhile back, but in good cond. No visors, interior light or heater (see pics.). Plenty of room for a vintage heat & air system, they are affordable and fairly easy to put in...unless your going drag racing, then you don't need it! The windshield is cracked and will need to be replaced. This truck was built and tuned for the street. It drives like a dream, you can take your hands off the wheel at 75 mph and she cruises straight down the road! This is a hot rod truck that you can drive & enjoy and look good doing it! "AS IS" NO WARRANTEES WHAT SO EVER! YOU ARE WELCOME TO INSPECT THE TRUCK TO SEE IF IT IS EVERYTHING I TOLD YOU! I don't always have time to answer emails, but I find serious buyers will almost always call with their questions. My #'s are (479) 238-1122 or (479)228-4304. I am always open to trades (up or down) only if you are realistic about the value! This truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction early for any reason. I can also deliver the truck in the U.S. for $1.50 a loaded mile. Thanks, Mike
