1963 FORD Fairlane 500 This is really a super car either to go the further steps to restore completely original or go in a different direction and do a custom restoration. All the parts are here and in really nice condition. The body as you can see in the photos is really straight and is the ORIGINAL PAINT according to previous one owner before me. Interior will need re-do. Engine is the amazing 221 V8 (no not a misprint-Ford made this for two years 62-63). This engine was checked by my mechanic and runs perfect. We changed plugs-wires and regular tune up sound really nice-NO LEAKS FROM THIS ENGINE! Starts every time first time. Also has good tires and new battery. Tires look good and have at least 70% tread and are the original 13inch size. Transmission is the 3 speed on the column. The paint looks good from the usual 20 feet-SEE PHOTOS! It will need a respray and fixes from the light hale damage-really hard to get to show in photos. No rust on floors or in any major area. Has some minor areas - after all this is a 48 year old car! This does have the spare tire-good! and jack. Also, has the manual and engine guide-really useful in the restoration process. On Jul-26-11 at 07:33:55 PDT, seller added the following information: Just to clarify for some questions received...the paint looks good from 20 feet but in my opinion will need a respray and fix of hale damage. The interior will also need to be redone-it is in the original condition right now and will need to be redone especially the back seat. I had my person who does upholstery work look at it and suggested the two seats to be done for about $500. The headliner is really pretty good and the dome light still works!
