1983 HONDA SHADOW VT750 RUNS GREAT.......EXCELLENT CONDITION..........ONLY 14,862 MILES!!!!! This classic Shadow is in excellent condition with very low miles. 1983 was the first year Honda released the Shadow. It has many innovative features for a bike of this period...powerful v-twin 750 cc engine, six-speed transmission, shaft drive, hydraulic wet-plate dual front disc brakes, and many other features that make it stand out when compared to similar bikes. It's shaft drive allows for easy, smooth shifting and ride. Honda is known for reliable engines and this bike is no exception....it will run and run as long as it is taken care of....and it has been!!! I have had this bike for over 6 years with one previous owner, and it was always garaged. I have never had any problems with it and I am only getting rid of it due to the need for more space in my garage for the riding lawnmower (how pathetic is that!) Do me a favor and give it a loving home where someone has a chance to ride this beauty more often that I have been able too. This bike truly is in amazing shape for 28 years old! I put some Jardine rumblers on the bike a few years back and they sound great! New seat cover a couple of years ago (both seats are in super shape). Chrome highway pegs, new mirrors, a fairing, saddle bags, a tank bag, and a tool bag were also added in the past few years. The battery is brand new. You can tell from pictures that the tires are in great shape and still have a ton of tread on them. All instruments, signals, brakes, clutch, throttle, transmission, horn, etc. work perfectly....this bike is in great mechanical shape. And you have to love these shaft drive bikes....real power, real quick! Also, as you can tell from the pictures this bike shines up well and the chrome really sparkles. This would be a great bike for a new rider or someone that wants a true classic in their garage. As with any bike this old there are a few minor problems. There is a tiny amount of "speckling" on the top of the front forks (this is the way it was when I bought the bike....no more speckles since I have had it) that you can hardly see(one of the pictures I have included shows the small area). Lastly, there were a couple of small chips in the gas tank that were there when I bought the bike....again, tough to see unless you get up close(in one of the pictures of the tank it shows the spots). With gas prices the way they are wouldn't you rather be cruising around town in somthing that gets you 50-60 mpg?
