Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a REAL 68 442. This is a Montana car that did not see salted roads! I bought this for myself to restore but have too many projects. The body is in incredible shape for its age. Odometer shows under 88,000 miles! Most of the paint is original and faded. It is a factory Red with Black and White interior package. It was originally equipped with a 400ci and 4-speed with console. Does not come with engine or transmission. I looked for the code on the rearend but I cannot find it. Console is gone but mounts still in it. The floor pans are incredible and the trunk pan only needs minor attention. The quarters are far too nice to replace, just minor patching. The car is non-A/C, with power steering and power brakes. I have the front bucket seats and rear bench seat that goes with it. It needs a complete interior, only the ripped headliner and dash are in place. The seats need recovering but they are in great shape mechanically. This car also has the RARE 4-piston caliper front brakes. The car came out of a junk yard years ago and has no title and I have not applied for a title, however I have another basket case real 442 that goes with it with a clear title. The trunk lid is also in great shape, I wet the car down in the photos to show how straight the body is. E-mail me for more photos. Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements and cost. I will hold the car after payment if necessary until buyer can come out and retrieve. No warranty, sold as-is. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer car, when this is done it will not be a bondo'd up rust bucket with pretty paint, it will truely be a collectors piece. Good Luck!!! I got some pictures of the parts car. It has the original numbers matching 400 with turbo 400. No front suspension. The engines top has been open since I got it and is siezed. Might be able to sleeve and rebuild. The Vin is actually 3448787124XXX. There is no M listed on the title or vin tag. Canadian made?
