UP FOR AUCTION IS MY 1969 IMPALA CUSTOM COUPE SS 427/390 HP WITH 60,359 ACTUAL MILES. WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR THE MILEAGE ON THE TITLE WAS LISTED AS ACTUAL AND THE PAPER WORK FROM THE DEALER SAYS THE SAME. THIS IS A REAL SS IMPALA WITH THE PROPER NUMBERS, CASTING # 3963512, CAR BUILD DATE JANUARY 5TH WEEK 1969, ENGINE PAD BUILD DATE TO121 LI, JANUARY 21, 1969 AND LI SUFFIX MEANS SS IMPALA WITH TURBO 400 AUTOMATIC. THE CAR HAS THE DATE CODE CORRECT DISTRIBUTOR AND DATE CODE CORRECT ROCHESTOR CARBURETOR AND ORIGINAL CHROME VALVE COVERS. THE CAR HAS FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING, THE ORIGINAL ROSEWOOD STEERING WHEEL, FACTORY FRONT DISC BRAKES, ORIGINAL T-3 HEADLIGHTS, FACTORY DOOR EDGE GUARDS, ORIGINAL AND DATE CODE CORRECT RALLY WHEELS WITH ORIGINAL TRIM RINGS AND SUPER NICE CENTER CAPS. AM RADIO WITH THE CHEVROLET MULTIPLEX 8 TRACK TAPE SYSTEM (NOT WORKING) BUCKET SEATS AND CONSOLE. THE ENGINE LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN REBUILT WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR. AS A WINTER PROJECT I DISASSEMBLED THE EXHAUST MANIFOLDS, INTAKE, CARB AND WATER PUMP AND DETAILED THE ENGINE LIKE YOU SEE IT NOW WITH FACTORY CORRECT HARDWARE, FUEL FILTER, NEW FLYWHEEL, NEW STARTER, POWDER COATED INSPECTION COVER, DATE CODE CORRECT WIRES, NEW PLUGS, POINTS, CAP. THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WAS REMOVED AND RESTORED AND ALL COMPONENTS ARE WORKING, IT STILL NEEDS TO HAVE NEW O RINGS INSTALLED AND CHARGED AND THE FAN BLOWER MOTOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE FRONT BRAKE ROTORS, CALIPERS AND BACKING PLATES HAVE BEEN RECENTLY REPLACED AS WELL AS REAR BRAKE PADS. THE EXHAUST IS NEW WITH FLOWMASTER MUFFLERS, I REPLACED THE SHOCKS WITH NOS DELCO BIG D HEAVY DUTY ALL AROUND. THE F-70 GOODYEAR TIRES ARE IN NEARLY NEW CONDITION WITH NO DRY ROT, CRACKS OR FLAT SPOTS. THEY ARE DATE CODED EITHER 1978 OR 1988, NO WAY TO TELL WHICH DECADE AND THEY STOPPED MAKING THEM IN 1988. I HAVE THE ORIGINAL AIR CLEANER BASE WHICH I HAD POWDER COATED AND THE LID NEEDS TO BE CHROMED. THERE IS ONE CRACK IN THE CENTER OF THE DASH, I WILL BE LISTING SEPERATELY A MINT BLACK DASH PAD REMOVED FROM A WRECKED CAR WITH 20,000 MILES BACK IN 1970. I ALSO WILL BE LISTING A 1969 DELCO AM/FM STEREO MULTIPLEX RADIO WITH THE MULTIPLEX UNIT THAT I BOUGHT FOR THIS CAR. THE PAINT IS VERY NICE BUT THERE ARE TWO AREAS ON THE DRIVERS REAR QUARTER WHERE THE CLEAR COAT HAS CLOUDED. HAVE THE ORIGINAL JACK IN VERY NICE CONDITION, NO SPARE TIRE. THE MOTOR IS EXTREMELY POWERFUL, AT 15-20 MPH THE TIRES WILL STILL BREAK LOOSE ON ACCELERATION AND THEN CHIRP SECOND GEAR WHEN IT SHIFTS. THE TRANSMISSION IS SMOOTH AND SHIFTS PERFECTLY. THERE ARE NO EXHAUST MANIFOLD LEAKS AS I HAD THE MANIFOLDS BEAD BLASTED, PAINTED WITH EXTREME HIGH TEMP CAST IRON PAINT AND THEN REINSTALLED WITH NEW TRW GASKETS AND CORRECT FACTORY BOLTS.
