Vehicle Detail
The true enjoyment of owning a classic car is best measured by the “Smiles per mile” it creates on every face around it. When you're behind the wheel, everywhere you look people are smiling back at you! That’s exactly the same reaction this 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe causes too! As you’ve probably noticed, this isn’t just another pretty Chevy… This ’66 Malibu is an original survivor and it’s in better than new condition. Look at the great shine in the Extremely Rare factory E-E paint code called Danube Blue metallic. Bet you haven’t seen many (or any) in this amazing color! Although it was a Regular Production Option color, very few cars rolled out of the paint booth with this bluest of blue hue. This deep shade of blue often appears black depending on the lighting which makes the laser straight, original body panels glisten from every angle. In 1966, Chevrolet introduced a new and attractive Strut Back hard top as you see on this model. The factory chrome matches perfectly with the 17x8” Foose Nitrous wheels giving the body a lowered appearance and complementing its aggressive stance. Lurking behind the front wheels you’ll notice the upgraded drilled brake rotors and twin piston calipers. Under the hood, a powerful new General Motors ZZ4 350 cubic inch crate motor has replaced the original 283. These GM crate motors produce 355 horsepower and 405 lb. of torque and feature a 4 bolt main block, forged steel crankshaft and Corvette derived, high velocity aluminum heads. With the addition of an HEI ignition, Hooker ceramic coated headers and a new Holley 750 carb, this engine instantly fires to life with just a bump of the starter. This baby ready to drive anywhere your heart desires! The original Powerglide was recently replaced with a smooth shifting, high performance turbo 350 automatic transmission and the 3.08 gears with Positraction makes cruising a pleasure at any speed. The factory original interior is just as incredible as the rest of this car. The 761-A trim code bench seats are covered in what Chevrolet described as black imitation leather. The “Knee Knocker” tach, factory clock and Delco AM radio all work just as they did back in 1966. The updated power steering and power brakes make driving this head turning road warrior a pleasure mile after mile. You can fly into Atlanta and drive it home! Don’t let this rare and pristine example of Chevrolet history pass you by! The original window sticker and other valuable vehicle documentation will be provided to the new owner.
