Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1964 356C. I have had this car for 3 years and have loved every second. Why am I selling it? Simple. I want to keep my marriage. As much as I love this car, my wife would rather me not spend my free time and money on it. In the 3 years I have had it I have striped it down, taken all rust out of the body, had it painted, rebuilt the entire engine and painted it, put an electric fuel pump/regulator in, new master cylinder, had the carbs rebuilt, new bosch distributor (glenn ring), new points, new tires, dash and drivers seat re covered, new antenna, new fuse block, new headlights, new hood latch, new battery, new battery cables, new ignition coil, all gaskets replaced except for the front windshield, new fuel lines, the list goes on and on. Lots of care and money have gone into her to make her a great running driver! I will include The Porsche 356C owners manual, The Porsche 356C electric guide by Joe Leoni, and two other helpful maintenance manuals. Those books are worth over $200. Priceless when you consider all the help they offer. They have gotten me out of lots of pickles. The car runs great. Starts right up and drives wonderfully. There is a small oil leak from the push rod tubes that I haven't had time to fix yet. That is a weekend project that I haven't had time to get to but is in the plan. The last engine work was done by the fine folks at Auto Atlanta. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable with 356's. Engine number P*713053. According to the 356 Registry, it is a matching engine number to this year and model. I have taken this car to Atlanta twice in the last 2 years and it has been great. (4 hour trip!) The Blaupunkt radio in it works great. Quiet but still works. I have always kept it in the garage. It has spent no nights in the rain or any other weather. The paint job inst the greatest but it keeps it rust free and will do for a few more years. It shines up great as can be seen in the photos. As I said, this is a GREAT driver. Not one to bring to the shows YET but has potential to be an easy restoration project. All the gauges work except for the odometer and clock. When I bought the car, I was told it had 64,000 miles on it. I have driven it a few miles a day and the two trips to Atlanta. I am estimating 70,000 on it. Only about 200 since the last engine rebuild. Please email me with any questions or if you would like to test drive it. Buyer is responsible for shipping. A $1,000 non-refundable deposit will need to be deposited within 3 days of purchase. Please bid happy. This car will not disappoint you especially if you are looking for a great driver that will turn heads and be a fun project to make a show car! When I took the car to get the rear window gasket replaced they broke the chrome window trim and just put the glass in. I wasnt very happy of course and haven't replaced the chrome trim yet. This was a recent thing and I havent had a chance to order new trim. I tried to order some off of an ebay seller last week and when it arrived it turned out to be front window trim. Just wanted to clarify. Auto Atlanta sells it for like $100 bucks. Not a huge expense. Please keep the questions coming!
