This is a beautiful 2003 Volkswagen Golf GTI. It is driven by a powerful yet fuel efficient 1.8L, four-cylinder factory-turbocharged engine mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission with tiptronic manual shifting over-ride. This set-up allows the vehicle to get 27mpg consistently while also delivering every bit of 180 horsepower. Because of the tiptronic transmission setup, you get the convenience of an automatic-shifting transmission combined with the instant power and control offered by a manual transmission. This is extremely nice when you need that little extra “go” to pass on the freeway, or you simply want to show off. This car is FAST. Thanks to the built-in traction control, dual front and curtain side airbags, and great brakes, it is also very safe. The exterior on this car is just stunning, as you can see from the pictures. The original grey paint shines just like new, the lights are sparkling bright, with upgraded high-output bulbs, and the rims are in great condition. I just installed a complete set of BRAND NEW TIRES as you can see. They cost me $650 and have literally less than one hundred miles on them. So you will be set for the next few years. I have had several small cosmetic customizations done to the vehicle, including grey interior panel inserts, a new lower bumper by Sparko with stainless steel mesh inserts, and window tint. The interior panels and bumber really set the car apart and give it the perfect blend of class and sportiness, while the tint completes the look and helps keep the interior significantly cooler in the summertime. I also added a performance exhaust system to it, which gives it the perfect soft growling rumble. This is a southern vehicle, so there is no underbody rusting from road salt like you will see on many vehicles from colder climates. This vehicle has never been raced, off-roaded, or put to any special uses and has always been privately owned and well cared for, with regular service, and oil changes. I have always run premium fuel in it, and the engine just purrs. It has LESS THAN 100,000 miles on it, so there is lots of good use for years to come, thanks to the superior German engineering. All options and buttons work perfectly: the audio system sounds great with both FM/AM Radio, CD, and Cassette player; power windows work; AC blow ice cold, heat blows hot. This car is CLEAN and has NEVER been smoked in. This is really just an amazing car, but there is just no room for it in the garage anymore. Now like every used vehicle there are some minor issues, since honesty and your satisfaction is more important to me that a couple extra hundred dollars, I must disclose them. The cloth on the headliner is sagging, one of the wheels is missing the center VW emblem, the windshield has a few stars and cracks, there are dinks in the front bumper paint from bugs and pebbles, and when I took it by the dealer a month ago they informed me that the front wheel bearings are due for replacement. All that being said, this is an amazing vehicle, that I personally have over $12,000 invested in. Current Kelley Blue Book Values for this specific vehicle WITH exact mileage taken into account are as follows: Dealer Price = $9260. Private Party Value in only MIDGRADE condition = $7110.
