Vehicle Detail
1969 FORD RANGER This is a body off the frame, nuts and bolts restoration. Over $80,000 was spent on the rotisserie restoration of this one-of-a-kind short bed step side pickup. Factory equipment and options include a rebuilt 360 cubic inch 220 HP V8 engine, C6 automatic transmission, factory air conditioning blows ice cold, power steering, power brakes, polished stainless steel exhaust, sliding rear window, center caps with beautiful rings, factory push button radio, chrome exterior décor group, window rain guards, bed cargo lighting and chrome bumper and taillights. The wood bed flooring was part of the restoration; the wood bed was actually an option on the '69 F-100. Without question this Texas truck is the finest example one could hope to find. The custom designed "old fashioned" bed rails were added approximately 3 years ago (2008) in order to match the finished oak bed. It separates it from most other trucks and allows visibility to the wood elements. The rails were constructed from white oak stock, then Watco stained, and finished with 4 coats of spar varnish. The stakes and rails were finally assembled with high grade show chrome hardware. There is approximately 12,000 miles on this rebuilt engine and it runs as good as it looks - perfect.
